AMEN! I literally grew up with them. I started watching when it was "The Morning Show." (The local show before it went national.) Thanks for the memories Regis and Kathie Lee. I stopped watching when Kelly started.

He was a true gentlemen. Regis and Kathie Lee were probably two of the nicest people in the business. During commercial breaks, they would talk to the audience and at the end of the show take pictures and sign autographs. Regis still did that, I doubt Kelly did.

I was shocked because he gave her that platform and she has made a ton of money sitting in the chair...HE provided her. I too thought her mourning was either fake...or she regretted having never spoken to him before his death.

The One! The Only! ST REGIS! I waz in my 30s from the very 1st show. And I NEVER missed a single show no matter where i waz! I had to have my Reeg & KL fix EVERY day! Their CHEMISTRY was UNdeniable! Thats WHY it worked for so long. It was never the same when she left & it most def was not when he left. I stopped watching when he Walked Away. These 2 made Morning TV history & you just can't Duplicate what they had! Joy was gracious & my 💖 goes out to her & daughters. Rest Easy Reeg I will MISS YOU

OMG, i loved this! I laughed thru out the whole 12 minutes. They could bring them back together today and they'd still have the magic. I used to live vicariously thru him 9a every day to hear about what he did the night before, who he did it with and what celebrities he interacted with. When Kathie left I tried with Kelly Ripa but it just wasn't there and once he retired, I stopped. I tried watching it the other day with her and Ryan (i believe it was him recounting making it to Miami for JLo's 50th birthday party and she arrived very late and he had to leave early to catch a flight to make it back for the show) and showed a pic of him/her/A-Rod and overall it was just painful, not to mention boring to watch. He looks miserable trying to live in NYC when he's clearly an LA guy, all they did was read frigging newspaper clippings, no substance and it was like a clash of major egos between them...ughhhhhh!!!
Live will never have another co-host duo like these two ever again. I watched these two religiously back in the day. I taped it because I was working, and sometimes this was the last thing that I would watch before bed. Pure magic. I'm surprised it took Regis and Joy to move to the West Coast this long. Just goes to show that they had more chemistry than Regis and Kelly ever did. Kelly has no chemistry with no one.
I loved the chat they had at the beginning of the show. Great chemistry together and so funny. Wasn't the same (at all!) after she left. Kelly constantly interrupted his great stories. I also loved when Joy co-hosted the show with Regis.

Regis had recently become the host of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" a couple of years before Kathie Lee left the show. My thought was always that Kathie saw Reege branching out from the show and felt the need to do the same. I also noticed she left the show with Hoda once Hoda got the spot on the early TODAY Show hours.
Kathy lee (love her or hate her) had a special bond and friendship with Rege that never got lost. Kelly on the other hand was only too happy to get rid of the old man off her set so she could be the star and have her own choice of a co-star. As phony as a wooden nickel.
I like Kathy better now. I loved Regis. All she could talk about was Cody and Cassidy. I couldn't take it anymore. I loved Regis. I don't know how he survived her! Lol.

She talked about her dogs Chablis and Chardonnay, her best friend Marla Maples and her newly acquired The Donald, then Cassidy was born, but she never picked up steam, it was mostly all Cody Cody Cody. Then Frank cheated on her. I was there from the beginning, before Regis and Kathie Lee got popular. I liked Joy and Regis. Kathy Lee wore thin....

He was so relatable and funny and brought such a clean, fun comedy to our lives-will be missed.
