    Wow! You are so easy to listen to and so thorough. Thanks alot for this info. There is a half price offer for walmart+ so I came here to learn more. There also looks to be an ongoing 50% off for disabled shoppers, which would be great for those who find it a challenge to get grocery and supplies.

      Thank you so much for your kind words! Half off is definitely worth going for! I'm not sure if you will still get the $20 in Walmart cash if you use my link or not - I'm guessing no, but it's worth a try. I don't think you'll get a better deal than the 50% off, so if you are interested, I would definitely do it now.

    Walmart appeared to listen to my complaint and they have fixed it now to where it was. So now I still have good satisfaction with their delivery service.

      Oh, I'm so glad to hear that. I have been putting things into my cart today, which I tend to do as I think of what I need. I'm seeing an "add" button above the "subscribe" button. Thankfully, I didn't have any problem adding things. I think a lot of people probably had the same problem you did. I'm glad they fixed it!
      Delivery can be a real life saver. I hope that it goes well for them and that they continue it.

    I work as a Walmart Spark delivery driver and if there is no tip don't expect to see your delivery anytime soon.the base pay with no tip doesn't pay for our fuel. Also never heard of us putting groceries in the refrigerator for you even though l would if asked.also don't forget to review your driver so they can get free Walmart+.

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  10 месяцев назад

      Yes, I agree that tips are very important! But I'm not sure what a Walmart Spark delivery driver is. Are you an employee, or an independent contractor? I think that's the difference between if you have the "plus up" option added on - it's an employee, not a contractor.

      Chrisf4456: Real nice that you want to hold a paying customer's grocery order hostage due to you being disgruntled by not receiving a tip - which is given for extraordinary service, not because you think you deserve it. It's exactly this 'entitled' type attitude that makes your outlook so pathetic and a shame Walmart employs people like you even indirectly. Tips should be done away with completely and you should just get base pay to stop this nonsense! Also, the 'putting groceries in the refrigerator' is something customers pay even more for and this level includes NOT having to include a tip. You should know this as a Walmart Spark delivery driver. Lastly, it kills me that you selfishly add at the end for us not to forget to review the driver so YOU can get a free Walmart+ subscription.

    Great Video! Thanks... The only thing about the scan and go feature is that you still have to wait in a line to "checkout". They should make it all be done on the app and not have to use the Checkout registers at all. That would be awesome!

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  10 месяцев назад +1

      I totally agree! I recently used Scan and Go and a couple of days later, Walmart sent me a survey to get my opinion. I told them what I like - and also gave feedback that having to wait in line for self-checkout takes away the value, and that it would be so much better if you could just show the receipt on your phone to the person at the door on your way out. Who knows if they'll listen, but hopefully a lot of people will give the same feedback.

    I have had walmart plus for a couple of years and have used delivery alot. This service is very sketchy, If you don't leave a good tip there is a VERY GOOD chance you will not get your delivery. I had a $400 order once for work with a 30% tip, they got right to the door and then turned around and left. Customer service said it was because there were frozen items in the order. It only took 10 minutes for them to get there and yet they just canceled the order. Scan and go is great but you still have to stand in line to scan the screen on the checkout. Bring your bags to use as you go but expect them to check all of them as you leave.

      Thanks for sharing your experience. I think if I was in your situation, with using delivery a lot, I'd upgrade to the "plus up" so that it's an employee (with no tips), rather than one of the third party services such as Door Dash. Several years ago, I used Walmart delivery (I believe before there was a Walmart+), and at the time, a Walmart employee did the delivery. The experience was great. Also, paying an extra $40 a year and not needing to tip would save you money if you have items delivered frequently, so it may be worth a try. If you try it, I'd love to hear your experience with it.

    I always order at least the $35 minimum and just have it shipped to my home for free. The + part isn't worth it to me per year or month when I'm already saving gas, time, parking, walking into/out of the store, the crowds then loading the buggy and unloading it all at the cash register. Then I have to load it all into my truck and unload it again after I make it back home. I realize that many things can't be shipped due to the perishables or flimsy plastic containers like cases of water, some glass items. I can take the membership fee that I'd spend for the service and use it to buy my online shopping/shipping orders. I mainly order the heavy items and let FedEx ship it to my porch and just walk out my front door and bring it inside without having to leave my home or burn gas getting there. I feel like the prices raising as high as they are, they can use their gas to bring it to my home and not pay any extra. Thanks for explaining how this works, it helped me to realize I'm not missing out on anything by not being a +member.

      I'm glad you found it helpful. It's definitely been worth it for us, and it's saving us money every month. We live with my elderly mom, and sometimes she thinks of something she needs - like eye drops. I get them shipped/delivered free, often the same day, even if it's only a few dollars. To have to spend $35 every time she needs something - or to have to run to the store for it - wouldn't be practical. But every situation is different, for sure.

      @StockingMyPantry  10 месяцев назад +2

      I agree! Now if they ever make it so you can check out and pay on the app and show your receipt on your phone on the way out the door, that will be a game changer. I understand that they do that at Sam's Club, but it's definitely not the case at Walmart.

    • @toiletpaper4

      Huh? I go thru self check out all the time waiting in a line. For the last couple months I see 2 scan machines open and set aside from the others with no one at them all the time titled scan and go. I wanted to find out what that was all about and found googling today July 7, 2024 that they are for Walmart+ members using scan and go. Has that changed at your Walmarts since you posted 7 months ago? I'm assuming I only have to wait in line until the next dedicated scan and go is open (which they always are at my Walmart) but I could be wrong because I haven't jumped aboard Walmart+ yet.

    • @damesaphira9790

      @@toiletpaper4 ~ I have never seen a self check out dedicated to scan and go. I have to wait in line because the people ahead of me are using the self check out and even tho I used my scan and go I have to wait on them so I can scan the check out QR and pay. At Sam's I never have to scan anything except my purchases and then hit the total button and Pay button and then out the door I go.

    I have been a member of Walmart+ for over a year, making about 7 online orders per month and having those delivered. Due to health issues that has worked out great for me. The local stores did a great job of filling and delivering my orders. However, just today Walmart is requiring that I buy a loaf of bread (for example) on a subscription basis. It appears that all their products are now like this. The website will not let me change that to a one time purchase. That does not work out for me. I want to order items when I need them. I stated this with their online chat and the call center person in India. WALMART CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT. And I had just renewed my subscription also. What a mess Walmart has made.

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  6 дней назад +1

      Oh no! I have noticed the subscription thing, and down below it you can select one time or something like that - so it's not a subscription. But I had a problem with that myself the first time, so I know what you mean. So maybe it's a new system that has been acting up. I'm really sorry to hear that Walmart cancelled your account. That's crazy!

    Great video. I have been wondering about this program. Good to know about the tip...I would definitely pay the extra $ to be tip free for the year. Sometimes when I order to have an item shipped the have it brought out from the store. Always good service ☺ A couple times a year they offer this service for 50% off.

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  Год назад +1

      Glad it was helpful! I also often get something directly from the store when I order shipping. I think they do that when it's in stock at the local store. Nice to know about them having it at 50% off sometimes. I'd definitely snag that deal if you see it. It's been working well for us, and unless something changes, I plan to renew after the first year.

    I have a Walmart, fairly new, about a third of a mile from my house. It also has a Walmart gas station. I've been a member since 2022. I get 10 cents off on each gallon of gas, and the non discount price is the same as Sam's Club & Costco. I order my groceries online, Walmart dies my shopping, and I pick it up curbside so I'm not tempted to shop for something I don't need. I have been very happy these two years and will continue to be a plus member. Walmart gives me Paramount+ as a perk too. I also get cash back from Rakuten on non food items $$

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  3 месяца назад

      It sounds like you have experienced the same benefits as me! The Walmart close to us does not have a gas station, so we need to fill up at one about 4 miles from home. It's still worth it, though, because the savings are significant. I'm currently on a trial of the InHome service, which is an add-on that provides free delivery (including the tip, since the delivery is handled by Walmart employees, instead of indepdendent contractors. Prior to this we were doing grocery pick up, but the delivery is nice. One nice thing about it is that they also pick up returns, which is very convenient. We also enjoy Paramount+. I just rejoined, as my first year ended. I don't plan to quit any time soon!

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  2 месяца назад

      Great question. If a Walmart has a gas station, it applies. I'm guessing Sam's Club also, but I can't say for sure because I don't have one in the area, but that would make sense. In my area, it's also Mobile/Exxon stations as well, which are all over the place. I'm thinking there may be some others as well, but that is what comes to mind immediately.

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  10 месяцев назад

      Hmmm. . . mine is different at the moment as well. I'm not sure why. But I did copy and paste my referral link into a browser that I don't use for Walmart, and it brought up the $49 option - and didn't say anything about saving $20 and didn't have my name. It's possible that they are running the $49 special right now, and because of that aren't doing the referral thing. Also, they are doing some type of Black Friday thing starting tomorrow, and perhaps that is impacting things as well.
      Hopefully it will come back soon, but at the moment, everything in my dashboard is in a different order than it was when I made this video.

    Thanks for all of the very valuable info, i joined the walmartplus a few days ago, at this point i'm not really sure if its worth it for me. I recently started ordering my my groceries on line and pick up later at the store. like you i make a point of spending over $35 to save the 6.99 fee. My question is How do you get free shipping with no Minimum, Does this apply to groceries or just other items. I just placed an order in my shopping cart now under $35 yet its charging me the $6.99 for pick up. I'm doing something wrong ? Unless i can get free pickup or shipping/delivery on smaller orders its not worth it to me.

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  Год назад

      Great question. The $35 minimum still applies for pickup, but not for shipping. I have often found that if an item is available at my local Walmart AND is showing shipping as an option, then I often have the item delivered for free, even if it's less than $35. In that case, I choose shipping, and then they end up dropping the item off on my porch, often the same day I order it. Other items are shipped normally, using services like FedEx - and the shipping is free, even if I spend less than $35. Pickup is where the minimum still applies. I hope that makes sense.

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  11 месяцев назад

      I totally understand! The buying too much temptation can work both ways - buying extra things to hit the $35/minute for free shipping without it, or buying too much stuff since you can get free shipping either way. So far it is working well for us, and I plan to renew my membership when it's time, but everyone has to figure out what works best for them.
