"Self Made" doesn't necessarily means to live a poor, unknown life before the fame. Her mother had the idea of the sex tape and it worked without the help of a publicist. Her team came afterwards.
True. Plus she grew up rich. I like how young women get slammed for being a "spoiled little rich girl" until they reach a certain age, then suddenly everyone conveniently forgets and paints her as a "hard worker" and someone who's "self made". Her rich upbringing, her mom's smart business strategies, Paris Hilton's influence, and even Kanye West's influence made her the way she is today. Sure, she too had to put in some effort, but most of it was due to the people and wealth around her. I dont know why people deny that zendaya is an "IT" girl. When she is recognized as someone who sets the standard in fashion. The only difference with past iterations is that it's not men who made her an it girl, but women. She is not the sexiest or cutest, but indeed the coolest.
@@heyysophie9928 That isn’t true at all. Zendaya has talent but plenty of It girls weren’t talented. Paris Hilton was an It girl at one point and she’s useless.
@@heyysophie9928 lol what? I agree her acting isn’t great, but the It girl is not the top of their game. Socialites can be it girls and they have no career. I hate Kim K, but I can at least say she had a career of sex tape, birthing black babies, using her friends and getting plastic surgery to sell her shitty clothes. But she’s also not the top of that career either. Zendaya is an it girl by pure definition. She’s influenced and made a whole culture. She’s everywhere and completely relevant. She’s just half black and people really don’t enjoy it girls being people of colour.
I never considered Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian It girls. I feel like they’re just very mainstream. I think it’s separate from being successful or beautiful since pretty much everyone in the entertainment industry is. I think of Chloe Sevigny, Alexa Chung, Rihanna. There’s a charm, force, and magnetism to them all and even if it’s not your “thing”, you get why they’re captivating.
Chloe and Alexa are really good examples. I would say the "It Girl" is somebody whose more of a face in society who does little to deserve her title (not that she isn't talented), but people's fascination with her is more to do with her mystique, style and who she's associated with. Chloe was dating Harmony Korine. Alexa Chung and Alex Turner. Edie Sedgwick hung out at The Factory. A lot of the video's examples are just people who would love to be considered an "It Girl" but they don't have the range.
@@Missmagazinebura Yes! There's a branding/hustle to the "It girls" in this video that don't ring true. It girl status is effortless and authenticity is part of it. I don't know that we can have real It girls with the way social media and marketing operate now. It would have to be someone frankly too cool to accept all the endorsement deals and be on social media all the time.
I hate how everyone tries to be an it girl nowadays, everyone’s so obsessed on being different and quirky they all end up looking the same, it just seems fake. Alexa Demie, Anya-Taylor Joy and Zendeya are one of the few I actually look up to
All It Girls are it girls because they don’t try to be anyone but themselves. People pick up on that authenticity and elevate these women to it girl status. These girls aren’t trying to be someone they’re not like you say they are.
@@Toxic_Femininity I don’t think they are hating. Putting it like that, everyone wants to be the it girl, trying to stand out and create a brand. But all the it girls are starting to blend together. It should be the “many girls” because now we are starting to have many many girls to follow. Remember….. to state an opinion, is not necessarily hating. Sometimes people get sick of something and they are expressing how they feel! Let them be!
Most of the people mentioned here feel less like ''it girls'' and more like ''celebrities of the moment.'' Actual ''it girls'' rise to fame because of social connections and cunning, they're the people who are always celebrity-adjacent but not famous for a particular reason like acting. This video seems like a miss to me.
Exactly. It girls are called it because they somehow make it famous despite having no talent or career, just an ability to be in the right place at the right time, i.e. in front of the paparazzi, alongside the real celebrity.
Honestly yes. I think of Chloe Sevigny as an It girl but I don't like her acting (haven't seen Kids though) or think she's physically attractive. BUT I get that she's super cool, has an interesting look, and if I saw her at a bar, I understand her magnetism.
I mean Marilyn Monroe is the ultimate IT girl. You've got people trying to be like her today, nearly 60 years later. She barely had a family, let alone a single social connection. She just had her completely enchanting aura. Also, similarly Anna Nicole Smith, who adored Marilyn, was similar- she too didn't have any connections but owned the people in 2000s. Alexa Demie is also the daughter of a single, immigrant mother with barely any connections and she's the IT girl right now. Lana Del Rey and Lily-Rose Depp also have that mysterious sorta thing (well, Lana did years ago but yea) however they definitely had/have connections
I love how this generation's IT girls are so focused on social issues and social justice. It's super refreshing seeing these values be at the forefront of our society, compared to past times where the biggest values were more outward focused like consumerism and meeting ideal (and exclusive) beauty standards.
Are they? Influencers are still pushing the beauty ideal. Notice none of them are ugly? Nor are they actually black? Zendaya is biracial and she can talk about black issues but when someone like Letitia Wright expresses her concerns regarding Vaccines due to bad medical practices in the black community, everybody wants her recast in Black Panther.
Wait… how did a video about it girls fail to include Alexa Chung? She literally wrote and published a book about her experiences as an it girl called It… I’m just a little surprised.
Yessss, there was a distinct lack of 2010s IT girls in the video tbh. We needed to see Alexa Chung, the Geldoff sisters, Zooey Deschanel, Olivia Palermo, Alice Dellal, etc. They were the last gen of elusive socialites before social media oversharing really took over.
@@Shauniiiiiiiii I agree. To me the It girls hang out in those type of circles. Sienna Miller was the it girl in early 2000’s and Lindsay Lohan was on the same vibe as well. It was a different vibe. I don’t see it girls today honestly.
It should be the “many girls” now because there are so many girls wanting to claim the title and so many to follow. There is no longer one it girl to follow by the mass public.
Sienna Miller and Lindsay Lohan were THE it girls in the early 2000’s. The press was obsessed with them. Sienna’s fashion was outstanding back then, the boho-rock chic style was kind of “invented” by her.
I am surprised that you didn't touch at all on the meaning of "It girl" in the larger gender relations scheme of things. I mean, there is no "It boy" - why is that? Maybe because female cultural icons have always been defined by some undefinable magic quality that they possess and that every girl wants to possess if she hopes to have any value. Maybe because the "It girl" trope is part of the general patriarchal mindset that always viewed "femininity" as something radically different from *normal humanity*: obscure, mystical, chaotic, and therefore desired. Maybe we need to talk about the culture of disposable "It girls" as ITSELF A CULTURE (and maybe we want to get rid of it). You two are among the smartest ladies that I know 'online', and your work is needed and valuable. Perhaps another video on this subject sometime soon?
I think our culture has changed with the rise of the internet and there is an "IT boy" now. The best example I can think of is how huge Ryan Gosling was in 2009/2010. Right now I think Timothy Chalamet is having a serious moment. I am connecting the It boy with the "internet's boyfriend trend." Examples: Tom Hiddleston, Chris Pine, Michael B. Jordan, Oscar Isaac, Henry Golding, Keanu Reeves, etc.
Agreed I was surprised the video was over. The IT girl is a whole patriarchal society thing. It use to be about male gaze and capitalism. I think it has changed to more female gaze now but I would loved a more in depth talk about it.
I vaguely remember an episode of a show called Hey Arnold where the character Helga became an “It” girl and hated it the attention the notoriety and people emulating her from her clothing to her willful/borderline bullying manners. Ironically what got her out of it was her being nice.
i blame paris hilton for where we are today. 'it' girls before her had mystery and charm and talent. because of paris, we have kim and the rest of the kardashians.
Please cover "Daddy's Girl", where a father and daughter have a special bond, and absolutely adore each other. Examples could be Eleven and Hopper, or Tony and Morgan Stark.
I thought the Daddy's girl trope was where the dad (or sometimes brother) usually disapproves of their daughter getting a boyfriend and not letting them have one until they reach a certain age, and it's sometimes used as a means to control their daughter's sexuality.
I think the point of the video was kind of lost with the examples of "it" girls it presented. I would never for example think of Julia Fox or Meghan Markle as an "it" girl. Also saying that Kim Kardashian has shifted the emphasis from inhereted wealth to self invention is just plain rediculous😂
I feel like there may be a geographic component too perhaps? It definitely seemed like that Brits were obsessed with Megan, but maybe the Americans not so much...? And yes, Kim K's self-portrayal as "self made" is a travesty, I agree 🙄 And her apparent belief that women can get ahead just by working their assess off is a toxic insult to all the ladies out there (esp. from minority ethnic groups) who're working 3 part-time jobs just to keep their families afloat 😡
I think the it girl term is very subjective and it can be different from a country/culture to anothers. There is always something conventionally beautiful about the it girl. So this is the reason why most of the it girls in the past were white except maybe the few entertainers and models. Nowadays, it is slightly changing and we see more and more POC. My it girl of this decade is Rihanna. Thanks to her sense of fashion, she is a trendsetter. And her make up line really changed the game. Also, I believe women can assume to be smart and to have it all whereas it seems like in the past the trope were very restricted to the physical appearance. SS I'm glad we can have it girl that can embody " beauty and brain" or not.
paris hilton is definitely the "it girl" of early 2000s! everybody knew her name and her blonde barbie aesthetic was copied a lot in many movies and by many others.

Lol, I can't believe neoliberal feminists would shame another woman's appearance to blame her for things corporations forced (she was just beautiful and working as a model as a job, she's not the bad guy fighters) and for insecurities or mental disorders that DEFINITELY capitalism made. She didn't create the patriarchy, stop splitting on her to feel better about yourselves. If you want to always compare yourselves to other women by all means do that, but don't shame other women for your masochism.

Yeah It Girls are a specific type of celebrity. They have an aesthetic and sometimes personality that embodies their era, and influence girls and young women to mimic their style and/or attitude. Twiggy in the 60s, Jane Birkin in the 70s, and Winona Ryder in the 90s are both good examples of It Girls.
I'm sorry but the Kardashians epitomize inherited wealth, especially with Kylie and Kendall being the new generation of the family. They don't "work hard," they just work with their wealth and their proximity to other famous people.
When you break down what a model actually is: it's a person hired to be a living mannequin to show the fit of a garment. How is she ruining *society* by modeling?? 🙄
Comparing Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian to others is _____ (fill in any negative word). And also, putting "hard work" and "Kim Kardashian" in the same sentence is literally a crime.
I feel like there’s IT girls in every subculture. Doja Cat, for example has been dubbed an up and coming it girl for the decade. She can dance, sing, rap, produce, direct, make music videos, you name it, she can do it. Doja captures a fun loving personality. When it comes to acting, I feel like Alexa Demie has been crowned one of social media’s it girls. She’s everywhere. Everything from her demeanor, to her makeup, to her acting, to her influence on fashion and mainstream media, she’s got that star quality that pulls people in. There’s also it girls on RUclips. Joanna Ceddia for example, has the authenticity and enthusiasm to be entertaining. She’s funny but in an absurd way. Natural and vibrant. Magnetic almost. Endearing and humble. The 4 things that make someone have the it factor is first authenticity, second enthusiasm, then passion, and finally personality. The people that I listed above are all very unique in their own right and work in different areas, but they all have those 4 things in common.
I agree she has a lot of influence and I do think she works hard. But she's not self-made. That's a myth she created because her PR team wants her to seem more relatable. THe idea that she is self-made is laughable. A hard worker? for sure, self-made? Absolutely not.
Out of all women, I don't think Kim Kardashian should be the standard of reference. Her brand feeds off of negative press, creating ""new"" trends & setting a standard of beauty that is hard for even her to achieve. Just because she has a VERY LARGE INFLUENCE and does a few nice things doesn't immediately throw her in the good pile.
Yes she does have extraordinary influence! She’s an icon. I have two small daughters and small niece. I am educating them three to grow up to be just like a Kardashian. My niece wants plastic surgery to have Kim’s perfect body and my two little ones are already wearing makeup and experimenting with boys LOL! I am so proud of my girls 😊
Hi. I would not say that Zendaya is my role model (maybe yes, but it's strange) but she has an impact in my life and made me feel that is not strange being introvert or a private person, also, I'm skinny person and see her in magazines is the best. Finally, I'm from Mexico so my tone skin is similar to her (the difference is that she is black and my skin is light-brown) so when I was watched her in Disney I could feel cute? English is not my first languaje, be nice, darlings.
I think we also have to remember that no matter who are the "It girls" may be we the people always have the choice and the option to think for ourselves at whats best for us, so we can't just mindlessly blame every random person who gets to become famous for the bad choices we the viewers make
Zendaya is my queen because she was a example of a biracial teen/woman for my nieces. I love that Lizzo smiles with her whole face. She seems to have a lot of joy in her life and I like that she shows it. Ri-Ri hint another IT girl high with her fashion and attitude during her pregnancy.
It Girls of Gen Z (from what I observed) Zendaya Kylie Jenner (lips everywhere and thanks to her most celebrities are dropping their make up brand Alexa Demie (Girlie made the dramatic eyeliner and gemstones become mainstream) Lori Harvey (Don't @ me you know sis is iconic) Millie Bobby Brown Kendall Jenner Gigi Hadid Bella Hadid SZA Cardi B Billie Eilish Olivia Rodrigo All BLACKPINK members but especially Lisa and Jennie Anya Taylor Joy (for the acting world)
Millie Bobby Brown? SZA? I think the only ones from your list that stand out are Kylie Jenner, given that she has more influence than all the other women in your list combined, and maybe Zendaya given people’s obsession with her fashion and branding her as “perfect”.
no one celebrates IT girl nowadays. I'm not saying it will never come back. It's just not now. It's always the representation of girls at the height of cultural superiority and the height of a people's wealth and strength. Think of the Mona Lisa. She was the quintessential IT girl of her time. What about other very notable girls, like Jane Austen, or Florence Knightingale? Or Margot Fontaine? They made and impact and remembered in history because they represented and impacted women of her time. It's not that there's no IT girl now, it's just not now.....not when world leaders lead with their most outrageous and ridiculous behaviors, a pandemic, a potential world war raging, and we are at a crossroad of redefining the system of world in which we live in (I mean, so many forest fires it's like the world is on fire, so many violent protest uprising, there's a few places that's pending a republic or changing their heads of government as we speak). It's not until we are back to peace and money is restored, people stop dying, and we finally found the answer for everything going on, that IT girl can rise back up and influencing other girls and impacting the world right now.
meghan markle is not an it girl, never was. she couldve been tho, if things hadnt gone so south for them and the royal family. i dont even like the royals but its fairly obvious kate Middleton wins the it-girl title against her anyday.
This is true. Nobody looked up to her through an 'it girl' lense per se. Kate Middleton has also never been an it girl. Her promotion feels forced. Diana, more, but Royals don't count.
@@LisaF777 Yeah Diana was definitely the most impactful and deserves the title tbh, especially because she was so independent in her peak years. I see meghan as more of a humanatarian girlboss tbh. You need to understand though that Kate isn't 'promoted,' none of the royals are. The ceremonial stuff they do is literally their job, its not about them its about Britain and the crown as a whole, so they cannot be selfish or be 'promoted'. Harry and meghan took the opposite route. Kate does come close to the traditional socialite fashionista It girl title tho because of how she glamorized the monarchy and was prolly the first lower class person to marry into the family, she was a socialite even before her wedding and everything she wears sells out in hours. I think it's called the Kate effect or smth. its hard to look at the two of them through the it girl lens tho, for sure.
Oh my god, I just realized they did this in-universe to Dorothea in “Fire Emblem: Three Houses” and the Warriors spin-off, “Three Hopes.” Dorothea was born in squalor but was overheard singing as she washed herself in a public fountain in the Adrestian Empire’s capital one day. Next thing she knows, she’s elevated to public superstardom as the prima soprano of the Mittlefrank Opera Company and eventually secured an opening at the Garreg Mach Monastery Officers’ Academy where the game’s social mechanics take place. She’s actually pretty salty about any nobles trying to woo her just on the basis of her celebrity status alone, since she knows they wouldn’t look twice at her without it, regardless of how physically attractive she is otherwise.

@@happygucci5094 I'd say Solange and Zoe are a bit on the eclectic side (vs Beyonce anyway). It may be a reflection of how indie culture was a preference mid-2000s to mid-2010s.
What an interesting trope this is. Based on what I've learned from this trope I got to think that Jeanne d'Arc might have been a medieval version of the It Girl of the early 15th century.
There's no such thing as an "it girl." But it would have been Alyssa Milano, and not Paris Hilton, for that time period. I mean, the fact that people are talking about mulitiple contemporary actresses as "it girls" simultaneously proves the point: it's just a synonym for "pretty damn popular".
The beauty of the IT girl is that she lives in the moment. Like a rose in full bloom. She makes you appreciate the present and to simply admire her fleeting beauty.

low-key Alexa Demi maybe also Sydney Sweeney the only thing is Alexa is everything an It girl embodies except she's very low-key and you dont see much of her until the next euphoria season which is what id say Sydney has over her tho I feel she's less "it girl" more "America sweetheart girl" energy and as well with zendaya she's very well respected and admired but I still dont find her to be an "it girl" at least to me because I feel like a lot of why we admire her is bias based on the fact that we watched her growing up and we got to admire her transition into a beautiful mature actress but just not purely based on "it" factor yk what I mean
Rihanna
I dont know why people deny that zendaya is an "IT" girl. When she is recognized as someone who sets the standard in fashion. The only difference with past iterations is that it's not men who made her an it girl, but women. She is not the sexiest or cutest, but indeed the coolest.
Definitely
She's also the expectable black IT girl.
Because the It girls we’ve seen so far have always been excellent their industries. Her acting is mediocre at best.
Agreed. I believe they don’t really get what the it girl is/was…
Chloe and Alexa are really good examples.
They are more like business women
@@Missmagazinebura Yes! There's a branding/hustle to the "It girls" in this video that don't ring true. It girl status is effortless and authenticity is part of it. I don't know that we can have real It girls with the way social media and marketing operate now. It would have to be someone frankly too cool to accept all the endorsement deals and be on social media all the time.
How was Paris Hilton not an it girl? There was nobody touching her fame in her time.
I hate how everyone tries to be an it girl nowadays, everyone’s so obsessed on being different and quirky they all end up looking the same, it just seems fake. Alexa Demie, Anya-Taylor Joy and Zendeya are one of the few I actually look up to
Alexa Demie seriously? Idk, she isn't that problematic i guess
Yeah actual IT girls don’t try, it’s effortless
All It Girls are it girls because they don’t try to be anyone but themselves. People pick up on that authenticity and elevate these women to it girl status. These girls aren’t trying to be someone they’re not like you say they are.
Stop hating women
@@Toxic_Femininity I don’t think they are hating. Putting it like that, everyone wants to be the it girl, trying to stand out and create a brand. But all the it girls are starting to blend together. It should be the “many girls” because now we are starting to have many many girls to follow.
Remember….. to state an opinion, is not necessarily hating. Sometimes people get sick of something and they are expressing how they feel! Let them be!
The IT girl where I work is called Suzy and there's no computer problem she can't fix
This made me chuckle. 👍
I always mentally misread the title of the show “The IT Crowd” as the it crowd
Also just realized that’s the joke in the show’s name🤦🏻♀️ I’m slow sometimes lol
👍
LIL Kim is another IT girl that doesn't get talked about enough. she is the reason why hiphop and fashion go hand in hand today
Your absolutely right! Lil Kim was very influential in the late 90’s and early 00’s.
Facts
Agreed!! Which is why I say there needs to be a Black It Girl video!!
You obviously don't know what the it girl means 😂😂
Speak on it!
A lot of their videos are definitely a miss. They try to hard to make sense of trends.
The word I think is a socialite not an “it-girl”
I love how this generation's IT girls are so focused on social issues and social justice. It's super refreshing seeing these values be at the forefront of our society, compared to past times where the biggest values were more outward focused like consumerism and meeting ideal (and exclusive) beauty standards.
In what parallel universe do you live? Today's influencers are braindead
I completely agree, we have move pass the kim Kardashian or paris hilton
@@91clarie these people are celebrities not influencers
Are they? Influencers are still pushing the beauty ideal. Notice none of them are ugly? Nor are they actually black? Zendaya is biracial and she can talk about black issues but when someone like Letitia Wright expresses her concerns regarding Vaccines due to bad medical practices in the black community, everybody wants her recast in Black Panther.
most of the time it comes across as totally fake, but I see what you’re trying to say.
Wait… how did a video about it girls fail to include Alexa Chung? She literally wrote and published a book about her experiences as an it girl called It… I’m just a little surprised.
She’s not an it girl. She’s irrelevant.
They left out a lot of it girls, couldn't fit them all in. Rihanna, Angelina, Cindy Crawford, Madonna???
She was in an episode of gossip girl
The trends move so fast now. The It-girl of our generation? More like the it girl of the year, if one is lucky.
Sienna Miller was influential yes, but boho chic was just a revival of an aesthetic that was invented in the 70s.
@@edienandy "Invented" in the 70s when hippie met bohemian, but based on fashion from much earlier e.g. boho, and Asian and African style elements
It was Britney…
Isn't Jimin from BTS an it boy?
Tom cruise, bradd Pitt, Ed Sheeran, Zayn, Harry styles, Ian Somerhalder have all been 'it' boys.
There are it boys... even now men worship 'sigma male' celebs... come on now even male athletes are it boys and have been for long time
I vaguely remember an episode of a show called Hey Arnold where the character Helga became an “It” girl and hated it the attention the notoriety and people emulating her from her clothing to her willful/borderline bullying manners. Ironically what got her out of it was her being nice.
I loved that episode
@@jessicavictoriacarrillo7254 it was one of the series best episodes with the themes of individualism.
i blame paris hilton for where we are today.

There's also the darker version where the father tries to make his daughter into the son he never got. Like Robin Scherbatski and her father in HIMYM
The father and daughter from Kick Ass
Yeah as in the kind where the term 'daddy' isn't sexualized :3.
I thought the Daddy's girl trope was where the dad (or sometimes brother) usually disapproves of their daughter getting a boyfriend and not letting them have one until they reach a certain age, and it's sometimes used as a means to control their daughter's sexuality.
Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus
You can tell that the women behind the take are some kardashian stand, because there is nothing “self made” about them 😂
I think they may be getting some $$ for it! The way they are inserted into a lot of videos is so forced and unnecessary.
Nobody can be truly self made. We are all interdependent on each other for fulfilling our needs
paris hilton is definitely the "it girl" of early 2000s! everybody knew her name and her blonde barbie aesthetic was copied a lot in many movies and by many others.
Kate moss really was the it girl. And for me still is.

In old Hollywood speak, "It" means a young woman with sex appeal and a magnetic personality.
Britney Spears was the IT girl from 1998 to 2006. She was EVERYWHERE.
Kim was a step away from inheritance wealth? Her dad was OJ Simpson’s lawyer 😒
you mistake being popular to being the ”it girl”… like Kendall Jenner, or Meghan Markel or even the Kardashians truly aren’t ”IT girl”. They’re just famous, succesful. I feel like you got it almost right… but not quite
like you just explained how theid body of work is almost undermined by their persona… You really lost the plot.. the start was quite strong & made sense… but nah:(
Yeah It Girls are a specific type of celebrity.
funnily enough models were actually called “mannequins” back in the 1920s
Comparing Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian to others is _____ (fill in any negative word). And also, putting "hard work" and "Kim Kardashian" in the same sentence is literally a crime.
Britney Spears is the ultimate IT girl
It's practically her curse
It was not her curse. It was pure misogyny.

AOC is not an It girl. That was so unserious.
Nope. She's a politician. Just because she's female she's been reduced to 'It'. The Take should know better.
Politically she is
No matter how many times people discredit Kim Kardashian ...but reality she has great influence when it comes to makeup and figure
I agree she has a lot of influence and I do think she works hard. But she's not self-made. That's a myth she created because her PR team wants her to seem more relatable. THe idea that she is self-made is laughable. A hard worker? for sure, self-made? Absolutely not.
You mean plastic surgery? .... Kim is toxic as fuck, worst influencer EVER.
That she took from black women.
I read this as I.T. (Information Tech) girl. Completely different expectations.
You forgot about Winona Ryder 🙄
I think we also have to remember that no matter who are the "It girls" may be we the people always have the choice and the option to think for ourselves at whats best for us, so we can't just mindlessly blame every random person who gets to become famous for the bad choices we the viewers make
Surprised I didn’t see bella hadid!
Oasis and Kate Moss define the 90s British pop culture.

For BP, it's just Jennie but you can also include Lisa if you're feeling a bit generous. But overall, yeah it's just Jennie
Millie Bobby Brown? SZA? I think the only ones from your list that stand out are Kylie Jenner, given that she has more influence than all the other women in your list combined, and maybe Zendaya given people’s obsession with her fashion and branding her as “perfect”.
I would love a special on Amanda Seyfried! Thanks for considering!
no one celebrates IT girl nowadays.

Ariana Grande definitely was an IT girl of this generation. People copied her hair, her expressions, her poses, her voice, everything.
Kim Kardashian "also reflected the shift away from...the glamorization of inherited wealth" Mmmm, not exactly.
Oh my god, I just realized they did this in-universe to Dorothea in “Fire Emblem: Three Houses” and the Warriors spin-off, “Three Hopes.”
Dorothea was born in squalor but was overheard singing as she washed herself in a public fountain in the Adrestian Empire’s capital one day.
