She is a beautiful dog with boundless energy and wants to make friends with everyone. Unfortunately, even at 6 years old, she still doesn't realise that her tail is a lethal weapon. And she wags it with her entire body.

When the UPS guy was coming up the dirt road, he'd fly out to meet him. He'd jump in his truck and hop on his lap, beside himself with joy. I'm so grateful that Sir Patrick is teaching folks how wonderful these dogs are. Ridiculous that they were banned in GB. I know there are many border collies in GB, and biting is inherent to that breed, they need to be trained to use that instinct for herding. I've lost count of how many times my border collie has bitten someone. BTW, I live off-grid in wilderness a mile from the nearest neighbor, and he's never bitten anyone who didn't do something to deserve it. When I saw him in Logan looking so spindly and frail I was legit worried that I was seeing his last film. If I recall he said he lost 20 lbs to better look the part of an aged and dying Professor X... it made the scene of Hugh Jackman legit carrying him up the staircase all the more impactful, at lest for me Then I remembered that he’s one of the best actors of my lifetime and that his talents are OP af Here he DOES look his age of nearly 80 and his voice gives it away even more, as well as the way he drops down into the chair at the very end of each seating However his overall energy is seemingly off the charts for a man about to enter his 9th decade on earth. His excitement about everything, his simple joys of beating Ben Kingsley to the cement imprints while sounding playfully jaded that Sir Kingsley got his Hollywood Star first 🤣 Can’t wait for “Picard”... but I’ll be dreading the entirety of the 2020’s (maybe some of the 2030’s if we’re lucky) as the inevitable comes for all of us Can’t wait for all the cameos and PROPER character arc resolutions for this iconic crew.

Patrick Stewart talking about pitbulls being forced to fight reminded me of how inter-generational abuse in the US spreads toxic right-wing politics through trauma like what he was describing: "The embrace, by working Americans, of policies that hurt their own interests can be understood on the basis of Ferenczi’s model of identification with the aggressor. Intrafamilial child abuse is often followed by the abuser’s denial. Children typically comply with abuse, in behavior and by embracing the abuser’s false reality, under threat of emotional abandonment. Similarly in the sociopolitical sphere, increasing threats of cultural and economic dispossession have pressed working Americans to adopt an ideology that misrepresents reality and justifies their oppression. In society as in the family, there can be a compensatory narcissistic reaction to forfeiting one’s rights that, ironically, encourages feelings of power and specialness while facilitating submission." (The traumatic basis for the resurgence of right-wing politics among working Americans) link.springer.com/article/10.1057/pcs.2015.53 "A man’s character is most evident by how he treats those who are not in a position either to retaliate or reciprocate." @@davidhollenshead4892 Being raised as a companion animal is the point. When they go off, it's usually because a human hasn't done the proper training and did not keep up on it or dog is lacking something like mental or physical stimulation, adding to frustration of being confused by their person. Humans are the reason a pit and ANY dog, can react a way Humans don't want, but they have probably never communicated that to the dog, the proper way to behave. It's 99.9% human fail when this happens. The other tiny percent could be a health condition, like a brain tumor.

Patrick Stewart did a lot of great stuff, his acting skills were always superb, because he always did put something of himself into his characters and made them come much more real than the originals could have been. But forever he will be iconic for creating an extrodinary character like Picard.
An amazing guy, playing another amazing guy. thats legendary gold right there.
One of my favorite actors of all time! Sir Patrick Stewart! And the absolute best Captain in the Star Trek series!
"Tea and Cookies with Patrick Stewart," is a new show idea I could get behind. Like Comedians in cars getting coffee but it's just Patrick telling stories with his friends. Just long enough to enjoy some Yorkshire Gold.
I would have loved the "Captain on bridge-pipe" when he entered the stage!!
Oh absolutely!!!
Haha good idea
Colbert is the "balm in Gilead", I don't know what I would do if he was not on TV. His existence for me is critical in healing me daily, after the obscenity that is potus45 and his regime!
I have the exact same feeling about Stephen Nigel!
Seriously. I don’t know how people can watch Jimmy Fallon. His show is mindless fluff. Stephen Colbert is sincere, intelligent, well-read, classy, and has real conversations with his guests. He’s a treasure.
Oh Captain, my Captain!
Stephen, Stephen Stephen. Come on, now.
SIR Patrick Stewart.
Patrick hates it when people call him sir Patrick. He just likes being called Patrick Stewart. Lol. He's a humble man like that
@@dil09ful Oh, good to know. I legitimately didn't know that.
@@thejanusproject32
Indeed ... in fact, he is rather like Sir. David Attenborough in that regard, whom rather be refered to as just plain Mr. Attenborough ...
I will have one my favourite girl's home soon. She's been with a friend for some years. She's a Bull-Arab, Bull Terrier, Pink Nosed Pit Bull and Boxer cross. She is a beautiful dog with boundless energy and wants to make friends with everyone. Unfortunately, even at 6 years old, she still doesn't realise that her tail is a lethal weapon. And she wags it with her entire body.
thats the truth about Boxer tails, and they are the happiest goofiest dogs ever. cant imagine that cross, awesome I bet!
So odd to scroll through the comments and see my own name.
Congrats on getting your baby back soon.
Awww, congrats, sounds like a good mix. I love how goofy boxers are!
I had a pitbull mix here on the ranch that had the eternal "wiggle-butt", sweetest dog I've ever known but a lousy guard dog because he loved everybody!
A few would-be thieves have helped spread the word that my crappy place isn't worth messing with because of the "land shark"!
Whoos a good Boi?
Thank you for not docking her happy tail! I hate it when people chop off pieces of their puppies for their own convenience. There's a Doberman living near me whose ears and tail are the way God made her, and she's such a sweet, beautiful dog.
@@LazyIRanch Hehe, yep.
*One of my favorite interviews on the late show. Love Patrick Stewart.*
Some of the sweetest dogs I've ever known have been pit bulls. Thank you Patrick!!!!
@1:51 Oh MY. This is maybe the most REAL late night show response to anything. He is SO raw in his response. Like a little kid when someone says....meet Santa or something. Completely forgot he was on stage/show! LoL. Too cute.
Sir Patrick is the best thing in Hollywood. Love this man! ♥️♥️♥️
The work he does for pitbulls too... 😍😍😍😍
a walking legend... and so kind and humble...
Stephen is my favorite favorite nerd boy.
I Loved all the Star Trek TV and Movies Starting back as far as 1966 .
Last time we've seen a man living alone with a dog it didn't work out so well for John Wick.
The LAST man we saw living alone with a dog was in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and that worked out rather swimmingly.
Thank you for supporting the wonderfully intelligent and sweet pit bull!
That's (again and again and it's been said a million times) how you interview someone like Patrick Steward. He says that he's gonna tell you a story, and you JUST LISTEN
Sir. Patrick Stewart, I have tons of respect for your talents.
I don't know you personally so I cant comment there, but I've seen and admired many of your works.
Thank you for your hard work.
He will always be my pillar of icon, Captain Jean Luc Picard!
Love, love, love this guy for his empathy and his genuineness.
When he's talking about acting as an escape for himself, all I could think about was that one episode where Picard lives 40 years inside a simulation (while only minutes pass in the real world), and how much of a recursion that was.
Simething similar but worse happens to O'Brien in DS9...
If you don't LOVE this man... you are dead inside. What an absolute legend and immearasable icon of cinema, theatre and the acting arts. Sir, we salute you.
ST:TNG was the first sci-fi show I remember watching, I was 7 I believe when it aired on my country. I know Patrick Stewart is a Sir, But for me he will always be the Captain!
Patrick Stewart’s energy gives me life
He looks so young despite in his early 80s.
He'll be 80 in July. And yes he does look good for his age.
He's looked the same since the early 80s you mean.
Stopped in time like Dick Clark and Sigourney Weaver.
He looked 60 when he was 40, and now he looks 60 when he's 79. Fun fact, he was only 47 during the first season of Next Generation.
When I saw him in Logan looking so spindly and frail I was legit worried that I was seeing his last film. If I recall he said he lost 20 lbs to better look the part of an aged and dying Professor X... it made the scene of Hugh Jackman legit carrying him up the staircase all the more impactful, at lest for me
Then I remembered that he’s one of the best actors of my lifetime and that his talents are OP af
Here he DOES look his age of nearly 80 and his voice gives it away even more, as well as the way he drops down into the chair at the very end of each seating
However his overall energy is seemingly off the charts for a man about to enter his 9th decade on earth. His excitement about everything, his simple joys of beating Ben Kingsley to the cement imprints while sounding playfully jaded that Sir Kingsley got his Hollywood Star first 🤣
Can’t wait for “Picard”... but I’ll be dreading the entirety of the 2020’s (maybe some of the 2030’s if we’re lucky) as the inevitable comes for all of us
Can’t wait for all the cameos and PROPER character arc resolutions for this iconic crew.
RESPECT to this man. PITBULLS are a lovely breed. I had several of them and they are soooo loving. Powerful yet super cuddly, and fiercely loyal. I rank them high along with Dobermans.
"but i've seen everything." - Patrick Stewart in Extras
Every time I hear Sir Patrick Stewart speak I think there is no way I could love him more... and then... I DO!
Ask Sir Patrick BACK because that was waaaaay too short!
Stephen.... Make it so!!!
So many pitbull rescue stories on RUclips, and in each story, the pitbulls are just sweethearts. My sister married a man with a pitbull, who was the sweetest dog ever. Clearly, their nature is not one of violence.
lol...maybe find out about a few more than just your brother-in-law's
Such Sweet Thunder by Duke Ellington. what a great choice for walk-in music :)
Thank YOU!!! Been searching for this music. Agree, superb choice!
i don’t usually comment on RUclips videos but i just wholeheartedly love this man with everything in me & felt compelled to do so.
Sir Patrick Stewart a person I would want to live forever. Seems to be such a genuine and caring soul. Many blessings and perfect health for many years to come so more pitties, family, and us fans can enjoy this legend!
Stephen practically squealed when Sir Patrick posed the idea of him being on "Picard"
And we all fangirled along with him. 😁😁😁
National treasure... and he’s not even ours.
Global treasure!
He’s ours, I’m a Yorkshire lass, he’s a Yorkshire lad...he’s all mine 😍
Yes he's ours
What an absolute gent, I have so much love for Patrick Stewart ♥️
Definition of a legend...and God bless his dog
bless you Patrick for your helping of Pitbulls. Fantastic show also.
Love what he's doing for pitties!
Yup. They aren't bad dogs - similarly to mastiffs, rottweilers or dobermen. It's the owners, who are bad - ie. the ones who're bad...
I love Patrick Stewart! My neighbor fosters pitbulls and they are like huge playful puppies. It’s so cute to see her out on a walk with this giant creature bouncing about and playing with everything and everyone he sees. I hope Stewart generates enough awareness the ban finally gets lifted. U^ェ^U💙
Patrick Stewart and Pitt bulls warms my heart!! 💖
Sir Patrick Stewart, you beautiful bastard!! I nearly teared up after your lovely discription of pitties! They truely are such a loving and caring breed! My late dad (a working class hillbilly) used to rescue fighting pitties; so to see such a distinguished gentleman fall so in love with a dog that most the world sees asa monster, touches my heart 🖤🖤
Patrick Stewart talking about pitbulls being forced to fight reminded me of how inter-generational abuse in the US spreads toxic right-wing politics through trauma like what he was describing:
"The embrace, by working Americans, of policies that hurt their own interests can be understood on the basis of Ferenczi’s model of identification with the aggressor. In society as in the family, there can be a compensatory narcissistic reaction to forfeiting one’s rights that, ironically, encourages feelings of power and specialness while facilitating submission."

"A man’s character is most evident by how he treats those who are not in a position either to retaliate or reciprocate."
(Paul Eldridge)
Or 'a society is judged by how it treats its most vulnerable'.

They're not being condescended for "voting for what they believe in." They're being condescended for believing in cruel and amoral bullshit. At this point it's apparent they love their dear-leaders precisely because of how cruel they are.
So much admiration for him. Just, BRAVO!
THANK YOU SIR PATRICK!!! Lets get this dogs awesome name back, for sooo many humans have ruined them and of course the government blames the dog, instead of Mandatory training for people. 😘💕 Thank you to infinity!
Pardon, but some pit-bulls can and do go crazy, even if they were just raised to be a companion animal. They are not the only breed that is prone to violence, but they are worst breed with this problem.
[Keep in mind there are a few "breeds" referred to as a bull terrier.]
@@davidhollenshead4892 Being raised as a companion animal is the point.
Star Trek was my childhood!! I loved every minute of it!! So excited for the new series!

And the most epic cameo since the Laketown Spy was born...
That was a great explanation, every pitbull I've ever known has been incredibly sweet and often even shy.
Patrick steward is amazing i would love to hear his knowledge on Shakespeare 😄 when i hear him narrativ he gives me chill by how amazing a story voice he has.
Ofc i Also grew up with star trek. 😅i hope patrick will have a very long life.

Stephen is all of us when Patrick Stewart casually suggests coming on Star Trek.
Thank you for being a voice for the voiceless! #dontbullymybreed #adoptdontshop #rescueismybreed

Oh wow. I didn't know he was such a champion for pitbulls. That is so great! Much love to him!!

I would give anything to just sit and discuss Sir Patrick Stewart’s life with him. He’s such an awesome soul.
Thank you for your work with pitbull terriers. As we'd say in the Southern U.S., "Bless your heart!"
Loved him in TNG, love him even more knowing his understanding of such a great breed!🐶 😘
Omg Patrick Stewart is a guy that I could just sit and talk with all day long. If he had a museum about his movie life, then I would visit it all the time. He is such an awesome guy. I believe Stephen feels the same way. Patrick lights up when he talks about Star Trek and his career as a movie legend. x
