Never watched another wheeler dealer episode after Ed left
As far as I'm concerned they never made any more after Ed left. It was like if the dead guy in 'Weekend at Bernie's' was a car show.

I miss the old days Edd and Mike together. It was much better. More attention to detail and Edd is very talented at what he does.
Don't care about Mike at all, I just skipped everything where he was involved with his staged "omg I'm so good at wheeler dealeraing and I can sandblast" parts.
It’s funny how much Edd’s episodes are replayed but not that much of Ant and Mark
Worse mistake ever my friend...when Mike did replace Ed the Wheelers Dealers show started to die...!!!

Rubbish. Both much better mechanics and whilst early Edd was fine his ego got too big as time went on

@@DIYDUDE012 granted he has a trick or two up his sleeve, very capable, keep in mind it is a tv show after all and no doubt have a plethora of techs, specialists etc on call

Why is that clutch hose such a specialist part ? Surely a braided hose could be made up with whatever end fittings required ?
Yep, that’s actually what happened, got one made up. Very straightforward.
It's amazing how these are now borderline priceless, getting five-figure restorations by Ian Tyrrell and the like. Not too long ago they were considered budget-friendly and getting tinkered on by Edd and Mike on a show dedicated to showcasing affordable classic cars.
One of the best engine pull vids period.
Lambo was on a shoestring in the early '70s, and maybe once the 2.5 was chosen with timing belts, they were committed along with other things aiming for mass production for the first time. The 3.0 with chains was where they should have started.
Mike we need longer videos with more rebuild content. These are great but very brief and lacks the good stuff everyone wants to see being restored.

The buyer of the car could have been anyone really, Mike Brewer was not the show, Edd was. All the interesting stuff that made the program was due to him, after he left the program went downhill rapidly. Never watched it since.
Bull in the China shop, class line. WD with Ed was a gem and miss it greatly.
I had an encyclopedia of motors back in '70s. In this set, I saw this car for first time.

One of my fav WD episodes. Such a simply beautiful car.
It is rather remarkable how Ed tries to explain every single detail of what he is doing. I guess that if it was up to him, every episode would last longer, and I wouldn't mind watching them at all either.

As the beautiful V8 spins after the wizard Ed China rebuilds it you can hear a strange grunting noise in the background as Mike realises he should not have shafted him
Aside from Ed being a great mechanic, he is a wonderful entertainer.

The Urraco is definitely one of my favourite cars all thanks to the mammoth of an engine it has.
