All my cats have been indoor outdoor cats. So they live inside at night and outside during the day.

Don’t let black cats out unless you want to risk it (mainly around October). I have 3 cats one of my cats Zombie (Grey) is an outdoor cat he was never supposed to be an outside cat but my aunt let him out one day and now he won’t leave you alone until you let him outside, Kit Kat (Calico) is a indoor cat I don’t really know if she used to be able to go outside or not but she wants to go outside sometimes but she’s not allowed, then Romeo (Orange Tabby) isn’t allowed outside even if he sits by the door or try’s sneaking out when your not looking.

I have ferals that have the need to go out. I can't seem to make headway with touching them. They've been spayed & neutered through a rescue organization.

Please also think of the wildlife cats are destroying by being outdoors. If you get a cat, prepare to make your home a fun place to be for that cat. Consider a catio so your cat can be outside and interact with the natural world without killing it.

I just lost a cat to a predator , it came right on my deck & I heard the commotion & by the time I got out there she was gone , the animal took off with her & I never found her😢 I am suffering so much guilt & overwhelming sadness right now because it’s MY fault & I have to live with that for the rest of my life

We have one outdoor cat. She is old now and no longer goes outside. But prior she would just go in the back yard.

As we are talking about cats it is depending on where you live.... I am living in a small town But there are a lot of people who poisons, hurts and shoots cats.... SO I am keeping my cats in my apartment, which they have been since they were babies.... They are spoiled, happy and loved, and I believe that is the things that Really counts, what do you think?

My cat was born outside he’s not feral but he gets stressed out and unhappy if I don’t let him out during the day. There are no animals threats to him in our neighborhood and its a quiet, calm neighborhood that is cat friendly. Plus he is very cautious of cars. I worry yes, but when he gets stressed out he gets bad UTIs and not letting him out really stresses him out.

Also there’s the fact that cats are meant to be outside not inside all day. Some cats only want to be inside but it’s cruel to keep your cat from going out of it wants to. You can teach your cat to walk on a leash or build a catio if your neighborhood isn’t suited for cats.

Sometimes just ignored ur cat that’ want to go outside .try to trained your cat to be happy indoor and if your cat were outside it could kill many native wildlife or be harmed by cat hater neighbors

I personally think indoor cats are the way to go, in my area there is tons of house cats (not feral) roaming around, and they have started to lower the population of some endangered animals and endemic animals, this is a huge problem for native ecosystems as many of these species are keystone species, if you want to let your cat outside don’t let it free as they are killing machines, just look at what’s happening in Australia, so get a catio or something don’t let it roam without supervision.

My cat is in the yard when I'm with him. Otherwise, there's no way.

But your also giving them the best of life, cats aren’t supposed to live inside, there is no enrichment. And it’s unnatural.
