A few things that need correcting:
- Reina is presumed Japanese
- Raven is most likely Canadian (He was labelled as such in T6)
- Zafina is officially unknown but most likely Egyptian
- Lee is Chinese, he was adopted by Heihachi in Japan
- Lili is from Monaco, not Mexico
- You've spelt Mexico as "Maxico"
Reina is stated Unknown in official sources, She maybe similar to lars, probably she came from a non-Japanese mother and/or doesn't even have a japanese nationality. Who knows?
@@ni8anttana That's fair to assume. But you also have to take into account other factors.
- Reina is a Japanese name. It's also a Hindi name but Reina doesn't look like she's from Nepal or India. Yes, I know Hinduism is in other countries but the chances of that are extremely low and wouldn't make any sense with how they're presenting her. Also, Lars and Alisa have connections to their own countries via their names as well despite speaking another language. Lars is a Swedish name and Alisa is mainly a Russian name (it is used in Germany as well, but not as much) and both of those characters are from those respective countries. Assuming Reina is Japanese isn't a far fetch due to the naming scheme for characters speaking other languages.
- Reina is attending the Mishima Polytechnical school, which is situated in Japan. Yes, I understand that Xiaoyu attends it (or used to, I'm not up to date on her lore), and she is Chinese, but she is a massive outlier, being the only character known to attend that school that isn't Japanese.
- Reina specifically has learnt Mishima style fighting karate, a fighting style that only characters directly related to the Mishima family, which is Japanese, have learnt. Ergo, Reina is most likely Japanese. Lee is the only outlier, being adopted by Heihachi at a young age. But other than him, the only characters to have learnt the style so far have been Japanese.
Given all of this and looking over it one last time, I'll edit my comment to say that she's "presumed" Japanese, as nothing is confirmed, however, everything is pointing towards her being of that nationality.
@@ni8anttana One thing I also forgot to mention is that Reina performs an EWGF, which as I mentioned is a Mishima-only technique. But adding onto that, the electric is important, as producing electricity is a confirmed trait passed down through the Mishima bloodline (Look at Lars, he has it as well, however, Lee doesn't, as he is adopted).
Also, the leak that revealed the entire roaster months ago that was proven 100% true through the design and reveal of Victor, Reina and every other character not announced at the time specifically states she is one of Heihachi's bastard children.

@@user-dk3wb3di4u When Tekken 6 released, on the official site (Both English and Japanese), it stated that his nationality is Canadian. Since then he has been labelled as "Unknown" starting with Tekken 8. Obviously since the new overrides the old, we can only assume. But I'd like to assume that he is his canon nationality since we currently don't know. Also, what proof do you have stating he isn't Canadian? I'd like to know your thought process. He definitely seems Canadian, if not, American.

Xiaoyu is Chinese, but she lives in Japan/speaks Japanese, just like Lee. Zafina isn't specified, or stated one way or another. Yoshimitsu a former Japanese national. Lili is European from Monaco, which is why she speaks French.

When my friend was alive he used to be always pissed at this series cause all the characters spoke different languages and he's all like how the hell is everyone understanding each other lol been 1 year since he lost his battle with cancer. Seems so long ago and yet so short. Miss you buddy.

@@ryancassidy3245It was stated on the European Tekken 6 site for a time that Raven is from Canada. However, in later versions of the site, his nationality is stated as unknown.
It only makes sense for her to be Japanese seeing that her last name is Mishima
Here’s more Clarification:
Lee is Japanese. He is a Japanese Citizen with a Chinese background. This video is talking about Nationality, not Ethnicity.
Raven, you can say is Canadian. However the game Officially states unknown. So anyone can be correct and wrong about that.
Just like Raven, same goes for Reina.
