Not just that, The head lost some teeth after slipping and falling into a castle on the set, The head took some much damage they had to make a new one.

I’ve heard some internal support in the head might have broken during that castle accident while filming Godzilla vs Mothra. I know that the cheeks really move oddly as if they are not secured properly during much of that film.

In GTTHM if you look closely the Sandai Goji suit is distinct to Mosugoji where movable eyes, elongated tongue and reduced upper jaw are evident on the suit
