For some reason the saddest death by far for me was Foo Fighters, and I'm talking about like the fakeout that happened in the "Whitesnake - The Pursuer" arc. I found all the anime deaths a bit cheesy. The manga gives you more leeway for imagination, and that gave me a death that stuck with me for days. Until I watched the next episode, rather.
