Watched your video after mine started making an awful noise. Almost as if some metal were scraping the side somewhere, after i got it apart, cleaned it, inspected the anvil (found a chip on both sides which idk if it should be replaced or not, but after cleaning and re-lubricating everything, my noise went away. Many thanks from a humble mechanic.
Great job my friend, love them or hate them I use these every day and torque up gear with 18V 1inch drive my small 3/8 & 1/2 Milwaukee do hours and hous of work, made me a lot of money against the initial outlay. Nothing else stands up to our environment. Kind regards from the Pilbara Western Australia.
I'd bet any money yer man who owns these puts his other hand on the back of the tool and presses his full strength down on it while hes using it, deforming the rear cover down onto the spinning fan.
I thought my old eyes were playing tricks on me, so I put the video up on the big TV and I was right, there is a design difference between the two, the EU/UK version has a slightly different design around the trigger. Seems a silly little thing for them to change. Informative video as always 🙂
Definitely need the c clip on the back of the rotor. I've had 2 at work where c clip wasn't on properly and the rotor has moved forward and damaged the hall effect sensors
Dean can you get the new m18 impact wrench and take it apart would love to see the difference or is it the same just that new forge battery that makes it better
Have a mid torque milwaukee gun that has done slme serious work going every day for the last 2 years kever missed a beat great gun that id buy again in a heartbeat. was wondering dean is the makita 40 volt range any good contemplating a swap over or just overpriced compared to the 18 volt range
If you've already got Milwaukee, stick with it I've got 2 of the 3 40V impact wrenches, the compact is basically a mid torque, it's also a mid torque in size as well, the 3/4 is a genuine beast but the 18Vs are catching up, the 40V mid torque was kind of a joke because generally, if I couldn't get it with the compact, it needed the 3/4 Overall cool stuff, but not worth it when Milwaukee has the high output batteries etc
Not really no. They are a Chinese company now owned and made in china. They are no longer a USA company. Basically over priced tools with low end parts inside. There selling point is they are high powered, which they are. They design them to have max power output from the motor but that comes at a cost. The cost is working life and reliability. They run hard and die young. I would recommend them to mechanics, as when it comes to a impact wrench like these, that extra power is needed. But for all other tools and trades, there is no advantage to the extra power. Only a disadvantage to your wallet.
If you need the power like me doing big 100L engines, mechanics, plant mechanics the power is a must have... For anything else just go Makita more parts are replaceable and they just last longer. I've got some Makita battery's over 10 years old still going 🤣
You must live in the states. Standard warranty in Ireland (and in Oz, which is me, ex-yank) is 12 months, unless you register online, extends to 3 years

Very therapeutic your vids good for clearing the mind
Never thought of squeezing the crap out of a bearing . I may have to try that. Thanks Dean!

Double-whammy of Milwaukee melty plastic. Excellent work, Dean.
You sir are master to your craft thanks for bringing us along DGC

They probably do. It makes zero sense to do that because thats not how an impact works.
Great video Dean... keep them coming

Now that UK is out of the EU they will probably have to make THREE versions of tools, lol
Same in Aus. Our Ryobi tools are both numbered differently. I don't know why they go that extra mile.
Great work Dean as always 🦘
Who would have thought it was just the bearing & the fan melting that was causing the issue. Yoooooo da man Dean :)
Hahaha, we got a twofer!!! Thanks Dean nice job!!

Keep da videos comin mate great work
Thanks lost trigger off mine have to get One
I have changed several of those before. Normally I order the whole assembly. I wish I had a press at the house.

Hi Dean .. mine is a one key model and won’t change between the modes kinda stick in a limp mode. Can it be fixed ? Enjoy the videos
I would love to see how much of that Tartan cloth you still have on a roll and used for wipe rags!
Thank you Sir!!!!!!!
You think some ptfe spray or something on the two plastic surfaces might prevent the issue reoccurring?
Thanks Dean great Channel I’m Subscribing Co. Meath
Welcome aboard!
hammer was not jam, just sometimes hammer stops on top of anvil and it can feel like its jam.....
Petit commentaire pour le référencement !!! le petit com qui fait plaisir.................
Brilliant 👍👍👍
15:48 Guys, wear protection glasses.
There were literal fireworks!
how come the spindle on these motors looks like a helical drill bit instead of more traditional one with gear teeth?
American ones have extra warning labels 😂😂😂 I say no more.
While watching you trying to prise off the plate at the back of the nut gun, the thought occurs, how do you not constantly stab your hands?
What makes you think I don't always stab myself.

I have DUSS P60 no more hammering, can you fix it?
Nice red hammers ...
I'm wondering where to get those long bits. Some of the cheap ones wear out with a quickness.
Dean has stated before (and others have actually given model sets) on other videos that they are wiha driver bits....
It's a bad setup from the start the boys have one hand on the trigger and the other hand pushing against bearing plate back cover
Are Milwaukee tools any good Dean?

How'd you like them apples milwaukee 😂😂😂
The 12v stuff seems good for what it is, very compact and lots of cabinet making tools. Tools n stuff rates it way higher than the 18v
@@deandohertygreaser many thanks don’t think I’ll buy now

Shit no dewalt today.. thank you
the grandmaster...
I'd be cleaning too many parts and repainting letters...it would probably cost me money, but maybe the customers would appreciate it
Owners must of used the back side as a hammer.
Is there things you don't like to repair I find the nail guns irritating I know it's weird but wonder if your the same
Milwaukee tools have 5 years warranty.
Why are you fixing 2021 tools? They should be sent to Milwaukee under warranty.
Thank you.

These tools in the uk are only good for mechanics that's it
