Hey JC, The BUCKRAIL barrel band with your bipod set up makes it so you don't have to lift the gun everytime on the bench. You just reach under the gun and cock it.
Your videos are awesome man I fell back in love with air guns since finding out about bigger bores recently and you are in my top 5ish of most reliable and enjoyable videos
I have the 22 cal one and I love it I use it to hunt. We're not being regulated. It is super accurate like super accurate and also it's hand pump friendly. I use a hand pump on mine
For that amount of money I'd also forgive the poor scope. The accuracy is spot on - and with decent velocities. Very nice looking stock on it. More than just nice to get the manometer on the side - and the quick connector at the front. Definitely my favorite way to do it, if not having a large tank underneath the barrel - but then I'd also prefer a Foster fitting for the fill hose. Buckrail do seem to have done it again - and made a very good job with their accessories for an airgun.👍🏻 Way good of a job - both AGD and BuckRail. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for posting this review. It's a really nice gun , I've been eyeballing the 22cal for some time now but , as far as power and foot pounds most offerings are about the same , finally someone put out a 25 cal that slings pretty hard at an incredible price and lastly I'm left handed too and it's one of the only bullpups that's shootable for us . And the only bullpup offering in this price range .
Just ordered the same gun through Air Gun Depot. Amazon refuses to ship it to my house! The same with a lot of Optics. I gotta get out of California. Lol 😂 I didn't see the link for the tank bags!!
Thanks a bunch for the bag link. I've been shopping for another tank because normally I just charge with my compressor/tank set up at home.. Now that I'm getting in to big bores, I will be shooting at the range, not in my yard. I want a tank to carry along. The bag makes it convenient as hell!
I have the 22. And I still hit quarter groups at about 90 yards and is really hand pump friendly I also have a buck masters SIG scope on it for about 109 bucks but overall a really good set up under 500 if you are buying a pump, scope, and rifle
Nice! It is a very affordable package and you have to love the accuracy. I still need to see if I can improve the trigger and add the Buck-Rail barrel band. Thank for tuning in and I really appreciate your comments 😉👍🏻
@Airgun Detectives-Airgun Reviews I had the buck rail set up it's just I got clumsy and dropped my gun barrel down and broke the suppressor when I was climbing up my tree stand
Had an issue or two early on with the 177 but it has been replaced and everything is working flawlessly and is actually a pretty fun air gun to shoot like to get my hands on the 25 though
They are very affordable and I was really impressed with the accuracy. I am going to attempt to improve that trigger and if successful, I will put out a short video.😉👍🏻
JC I really like the Beeman underlever I bought one of the very first ones to come in and I got it in 22 .....since then I've installed a regulator and change the spring in the trigger and put a Donnie FL adapter on it it's the only Bullpup .....I have and I've had a few that I've got rid of but I keep this one I like the underlever I'm a lefty keep the videos coming
I am going to do a few mods on this one and then I will put out a short video for those who need help. I appreciate your comments as always..Happy Shooting!
I have this gun in 22 and its my main pcp rifle now. The trigger isnt great but its predictable so with a bit of practice its not too bad. I'd love if it could lose another pound but since its so compact its manageable. And finally, yes its loud. The built in suppressor is nothing but an air stripper and shroud so I replaced mine with a 3d printed model I designed to fit alongside the fill port.
I’m really impressed with this lil guns accuracy! For under 300 bones…that’s really nice. This would make a great starter gun for a youth hunting/pesting/plinking. Heck someone may even make a regulator for it. I do agree however this gun is not suited for shooting off a bag due to the under lever but off hand… oh yeah! Fast follow-ups!😉 I would go for a .22 cal. Yes…” BUCK RAIL”! Awesome moderators for 40$ with shipping!💯👍Very quiet!
Hi Heath, the answer is a Buck-Rail Barre Band and my Bipod kit. Then you can shoot in a rested position and cock the rifle 😉👍🏻I hope all is well and I appreciate your continued support!
Nice review. I had the 1358 in 22 cal which is basically the same gun. I posted on AGN with pictures how to fix all the trigger problems. On the 1358's usually it is suggested to cut one coil out of the hammer spring to get a better bell curve. It was a little to heavy of a spring. I seem to remember you have about 10 full turns of hammer adjustment and I got 70 plus shots at lower setting.
Hi Les, I actually decided to take that apart last night. I resolved the trigger issue, and I will put it on film for others in the near future. I will do a couple more accessories as well. Thank you for watching, and I appreciate you leaving comments. Happy Shooting 😉 👍🏻
Hi JC. I have never tried or seen this Beeman model. And much less in this caliber due to legal limitations in my country . But I always found it very interesting and good looking. Really for the price and for what it offers. Four and a half stars fit like a glove on this small entry level Bullpup pcp. I like it and also really enjoyed the review. Great job and great weekend my friend.
Thank you, Buddy. I am going to take a closer look at the trigger. If I can improve it, I will do an update video. Happy shooting, and have a great weekend!😉👍🏻
Chiming in late. However, I'm considering a purchase of a pcp for some varmint control and have been doing some investigation. This is a fantastic video of an air gun I was seriously considering. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort.
A very interesting video, JC ! I still have an old QB chief in 22 cal ,it shoots like a laser. Beeman offers a lot of gun for a very good price. Thank you, for all that you do for the airgun community .
Thanks JC!!! I saw this .25 on a Shot Show video... Was going to get the .22, then hit the brakes... I believe Beeman said this was also being released with a tactical poly stock.. Did you hear that as well?? Thanks again for the great test video...
Which is better, both potential precision and durability, in addition to finding your spare parts easily, the beeman under lever .22 or the umarex gountlet. 22, will your opinion be very useful to me?
The difficult part is we are comparing a Bullpup to a full-size rifle. They are both solid PCP's and the parts availability is about the same. The Gauntlet is regulated and the Beeman is not. Send me an email, I can probably narrow your selection for a PCP, beyond these two. I just need a bit more info. info@airgundetectives,com
Great job buddy! I loved the review. I have a .177 cal. if you're going to keep this one. you can make the trigger better and lighter. inside the trigger there is a firm spring that can be changed out down to about 1.5 lbs. plus I polished the components. You know the synthetic regulated version is due out with the 250 bar cylinder. I'm waiting on that. Plus is Beeman going to regulate the Commander too? I hope so..
Another great review from the Detectives! So, you were testing with the hammer spring "flush", is that the same as set for minimal power? If so, that is good to know, as 32 FPE seems a bit low for a 25. I am now considering this rifle for my 2nd PCP ( my 1st and only is a 22 Origin, which I have loved)
This gun looks good but try and get hold of Beeman ! I've been calling and emailing them for over 8 months now and no one will pick up the phone call or email me back !! Ok the gun is 4 1/2 stars customer service for Beeman is 1 star if that !!
@@ezrabrook3993 I know that ! But I call them from the time they open till the time they close and no one will pick up the phone ! I have Peter's personal email and he will not respond to any of my emails ! 50% of a company is a good product & other 50% is good customer service !!
You got this e-a-r-l-y......it's not even on their website yet. JC, Peter mentioned back at shot show that the .25 was going to be a 250 Bar/3,365 fill was that not the case? Shot count has to be pretty low if it isn't. They are also supposed to have that polymer stock version coming.
I always clean the barrels. A few times at that. Also, I go through many different pellets to find the most accurate before I go on film. I always try to show the best potential for each airgun. Thanks for watching 👍🏻😉
Yes, it has 1/2 unf threads. Trouble is, there is limited clearance from the cylinder/fill port, which protrudes beyond the end of the barrel. This means your suppressor diameter should be no more than 2.5cm (= around 0.9"), absolute max😮. Alternatively, a tapered one but you'll then need to remove it for each fill.
Will these mods work on the synthetic version of this pup; the Beeman 1365. They look to be the same gun, .25 cal, just different stock material. Thanks!
Yes...I have done the same trigger work and added my Gen2 Bipods and the Buck-Rail suppressor. I will be releasing a review video on the 1365 in a few weeks. 😉👍🏻
It’s going to shoot one hole at 40 and not miss one plinking shot like every single other gun ever reviewed here but I’m still watching. Mainly to see that it’s under powered which I’m sure it is.

What do u think? 🤔 Jose
Hi Jose, the .72 caliber Zeus is like shooting a 12 gage shotgun. So I would suggest an open area or a range. It's definitely not for a conventional neighborhood. Did you watch my video on the Zeus? Watch that first if you have not👍🏻 Happy Shooting 😉
You are probably right handed and to even be able to shoot a bullpup for a left handed person is nearly impossible so it's worth lifting from the bag . It's not a bench rest riffle
I didn't have the barrel band from Buck-Rail yet. The barrel band and my bipod kit may be the perfect setup. Then you can cock the rifle and stay on target😉👍🏻
