He was my favourite character of the show since he showed up...we didn't even get to know him better. He was the definition of pure loyalty and sacrifice. RIP Edward Meechum.

I just started watching House of Cards today and I agree but that’s what he was trained to do. He was a human shield for President Underwood and he sacrificed his life for our leader and our country. ❤️🇺🇸💪💙

Holy shit, this fits so perfectly, I knew there was something between them that runs deeper but this video opened my eyes that Cold frank Underwood actually deeply cared about Edward WOW. Wonderful video.
House of Cards is so great with the little details.
Look at 1:05, when Meechum runs to check what happened in the kitchen, You can see the brick which was thrown at the window, and the chess king lying on the floor helplessness. The situation reflects on Frank Underwood who is in charge of the business (like the chess king) and he can't act against the enemys action (like the king).
King is not in charge. Like in sweden they have a king but he has absolutely zero power.

Apart from Claire and Doug, Meechum was probably the only person Frank cared about personally and not only for political purposes. So sad :(

2:31 oh my.. what a beautiful shot. From our angle it looks like they are both resting their heads on each other. Frank really loved Meechum, not as a prop or pawn but real genuine gay love. The scene in 2:37 proves that. Meechaum loved him too. Respected him. Took a bullet for him. I love this video edit. Its beautiful. I found it way back then and I searched like 10 minutes to find it again today.
That’s what he was supposed to do become a human shield for the president. Also, having an affair (especially a same sex relationship) with the president or first lady is totally off limits in the Secret Service.
This ain't gay love, more of Brotherly love or due to the age gap between Meechum and Frank, more of a sort of "father-son" kind of love.
Sure they had a Threechum, but its lust sex not love sex.

I think you are. Apart from claire and doug, meechum was one frank really liked they were becoming really close and I think when he put his hand on the wall over meechums was one of the saddest parts I've seen on the show.
Shan t yeah that was really made me cry a little. And so did this video serioualy felt tears beginning to come down my face.
