@@TheMorayMosstrooper Mike, not to worry, I was just momentarily perplexed when it ended about half way through. I have watched it more than twice now and I love it! One of the best fun flying videos on RUclips! Very well shot, edited annotated and scored. I particularly like the air-to-air 'shoal of fishes' bits. I do like to see others in the air moving in 3 dimensions. Looking forward to Part 1...???
@Mike Wood Something went somehow wrong wit this video clip. At 15:38 we catch a glimpse of what would have been one of the most spectacular aviation video clips of the year 2018, but there is just about everything missing from 6:59 onwards
Hiya, and sorry for the "teaser". I've no idea why this happened but the very short clip that comes at 15:38 was included in the main video but a clone seems to have popped up later. This will be why the RUclips duration is as long as this, but the clips I used for the main event only fill about 7 minutes. In future I'll do a more careful scroll through the timeline and try to get rid of errors like this. Since the subject of the video was intended to be the other members of the group in close-up, the spectacular scenery shots - of which this was one - have been put into the "to-do" bin for a later production which I hope to do over the New Year. I'm glad you like it, though. The low sun at this time of year does give us some very special golden lighting (much like a permanent sunset) on the rare days it appears!
@@TheMorayMosstrooper I am tempted to try and do some touring in my own SD-1 to visit you. Right now my engine (which is exactly the same type SE33 you use) is back at Igors place to be checked, tuned up and leak-proofed, so this might be a nice project for the summer of '21.
@@TDCflyer Your engine is back at the factory? Is there something wrong? I'd really appreciate knowing.... As for a "flying visit", you'd be very welcome; just drop me a line. Hopefully we'll all be able to get around a little more next year.
@@TheMorayMosstrooper the engine has run around 100h now. I know, that's not that much but it was one of the very first batch (#2 as far as I know) and I had a few minor hiccups along the line of cracking oil lines and leaking seals. So I wanted it properly sorted out and tuned up as well as give Igor a chance to take a look inside to observe how these engines age in general. I wish you a merry Christmas and hopefully a much better new year!
@@TDCflyer A year (nearly) has passed, so how did the engine assessment turn out? I'd be interested to know as I've now done just over 200 hours and, apart from a number of ancilliary items failing, like sensors, the heart of the engine seems fine.
Excellent! My one complaint is that the 'action' only lasted 7:11 minutes:seconds whereas it promised a duration of 15:42! I've been short changed!
Glad you liked it, and sorry that RUclips mis-sold it. I've had a word and they say you can watch it twice for no extra charge....
