Damian Lillard has been setting records since day 1:
1) He's the only NBA player ever to have at least 51 pts, 7 assists and 6 steals in a game.
2) Only the Big O, Damian Lillard, and Lebron James have had 1500pts and 400asts in each of their first 5 seasons. 3) His first 3 NBA games were at least 20pts and 7 asts......only the Big O and Iverson have done that.
4) Only Klay Thompson has more 3-pointers made in their first 5 seasons than Lillard (yes, more than Curry).
5) "THE SHOT". First Series-ending buzzer beater in the playoffs since John Stockton in 97'.
6) Lillard, Harden and Curry have the longest "average distance from basket" made 3-point shot in the NBA. Lillard started the long ball trend.
7) Only Klay Thompson, CJ McCollum, and DAMIAN LILLARD have scored 50 or more points in under 30 mins of play, let alone 3 quarters.

No you inbred, Pistol Pete Maravich DID not start the trend for the long ball. Yes he may have shot it but guess what, the league was still center centric until about 2014. Why do you think we had other great Centers and forwards dominating the league?? From Hakeem, Shaq, Duncan, KG? We had forwards such as Pippen, MJ, Dr. J, Kobe? After the center centric era, it was the isolation era. The first form of today's style was '06-'07 Suns but even they prefered two's over 3's. Maravich started the trend of ball handling.

Steph curry raises the ball while lowering his hip though, this give a faster release so it's not always bad
Steph doesnt lower his hips that low. He quickly comes down and goes up quickly. So he raises his shot when goin down, but he jumps when the ball is in his chest-chin.
He said for deep range shooting
Even if thats true then that would mean he keeps the ball by his head for a longer time because he still releases the ball at the highest point of his jump

@@LazerC4 One key is to practice from many different ranges and locations, especially with a practice defender who has the long arms (real or plastic). Different ranges helps you learn to adjust to the specifics of your game situation quicker.

Make sure you practice layups left hand and right hand layups practice both hands and also use your jump shot because people have different styles also perfect your dribble moves and dribble with purpose so don’t just do random things also when you have a wide open shot don’t hesitate not even a slightly open shot also practice your legs too because that’s one of the main components of your jump shot also learn new moves from different people to perfect your game good luck 👍

Hi coach I have been having trouble with having a tense wrist I'm trying to losin my wrist and having more of a floppy wrist and when I shoot without a basketball like in the air imitating my shoot my wrist is floppy are there any tips to have a floppy wrist and losin the tension

i think my biggest problem after watching countless videos on how to improve my shooting form,increase rang,etc is that im shooting correctly in my shooting arm form but i have noticed a lot of great deep range shooters espically trey young leans foward so much the only reason they can stand is because theyre on their toes and evreyone has a one motion shot and ive had a hard time trying to have a one motion shot and have good accuracy but fuk it we ball catch ya ltr

How to adjust your range during the jump shot...meaning a15 footer vs. 3 pointer.
Higher release point, use less legs, and instead of having the ball start at ur hip, try and start at ur chest or something. You could also try more backspin

I do agree that a shot has to be one motion but doesn’t the ball need to move before body in the one motion because hips can’t move nearly as much as the ball needs to

This “shooting form secrets” are just getting repetitive. Like the turn, dip, set points, etc.. I’ve heard you say them in every “shooting form secrets” and it’s just getting repetitive. No hate intended.

Good points here, but i have found over my 20years of rep experience ONE trick to increasing your range from free throw to NBA 3 range. "dumbbell shoulder press" with heavy weights, will take a few months, but you will find the increase pretty dramatic. keep elbows in like in a shooting position, one arm at a time to focus on technique.

The lower set point fixed my shot crazy I’m a consistent shooter because of it, I get great release timing and shooting from the college 3 is more effortless than it used to be.

I love watching basketball but I don’t play on any teams and never have. In fact I’ve never played an organized game of it besides like 3 on 3 half court in gym class. I’m really bad (like air ball from the elbow, bad), so I was wondering if you could make a video on just basic skills? Like how to be able to make an open jumper, stuff like that 😂 I just want to be able to play pickup without embarrassing myself. I just found this channel so if you’ve already made a video like this maybe I just haven’t found it yet. Thanks!
