If you can't afford the mega-yacht, you could just come ashore in one of these and point vaguely to the biggest boat out there when asked which is yours.
@@goldcd I think that's part of the point. you pull up at some incredible Monaco restaurant or club and step out of that star trek sounding door, everyone knows exactly how wealthy you are even when your ship is nowhere in sight. guaranteed vip access and bottle service just by tying up 😂 and it says "this is just my tender, the real ship doesn't fit in your little marina"

I'm not sure it's the door actually making that sound. I think it's the stereo speakers, the rear one was way out of sync it was still making the open noise when it was fully opened. Maybe I'm wrong and it's a clutched electric motor doing it but hmm if Nick could chime in on this one? I feel that's "piped in" sound
@@fakevirus8828 I think you need to listen with headphones as it does stop when the door is fully opened.
This is really does emphasise the difference between lottery winning money and genuinely mega wealthy money! It's really money no object territory!

yeah lottery winnings would buy this tender, maybe a few depending on the country. but a ~$100million yacht is gonna cost you the price of a dozen of these every year just to maintain and crew it, you'd have to be out winning the lottery every year just to keep up your yacht 😅

Wow. This is how one boasts their wealth, to buy a “tender” for your main superyacht that costs over one million pounds is absurd but I can see why the super rich do it, to cruise around the med in proper style! Brilliant tour thanks Nick.

It reminds me of very early cars where the passengers would sit in an enclosed cabin and the driver was out in the open, much like the old Western stage coaches.
An incredible boat indeed, build to with extremely high standards, but I still can't appreciate its looks.
The dual drive system though is excellent.
It made me think of the Pink Panther car with the driver right at the front in the open and the enclosed area for the passengers. If only you could get it in pink
The early cars came straight to mind when I saw this tender. The rich never cared about the comfort of the drivers of those vehicles either.

@@luvbig41 ostensibly, they didn’t want to smell them or have their stink in the car, so put them outside. At least those had soft tops to cover the driver in bad weather.

Every single part of this boat has been made to the upmost level.
There is not a single section which looks cheap.
I love it!
Some beautiful attention to detail in that design and the HB pencils are a nice touch too.
What a fascinating tender! The hybrid drive makes perfect sense given it's mission and the whole tender has a futuristic vibe without being garish. Love the 'whoosh' of the airlocks. Hopefully the trip will be short as it's lack of a head gives new importance to 'go before you leave'.

First tour I've seen of a tender. You normally see them in BOAT INTERNATIONAL featured in Ads and super yacht plans, ingeniously stowed as you described.

So many years ago, I flew in a Concorde from Paris to New York. After the 'WOW' factor, I realized I was sitting in a narrow, Riccaro seat in a narrow fuselage. Same thoughts here: with a full load of guests, one sits knee to knee with the person across from you. Heaven help your guests if they should need the loo after enjoying the champagne! Passengers are as far from a 'sea' experience as can be, given the boat is floating in it.
Dunno about that at 40 knots this thing will catch some serious air over waves
Who needs a yacht when you have that for a tender. Love to see what that looks like hanging on the back of a mega yacht.

There are smaller versions, so if your yacht is only 50m there may be an option for you.

Hello Nick, I just wanted to thank you for the lovely content. I just had my written final english exams in school (Germany) and I watched a lot of your videos as preparation. Also have kind of fallen in love with boats and ships, it amazes me how much space actually is in these, they always seem much smaller from the outside (at least on video), but anyway, thank you for this superb, detailed and highly enjoyable content, it has really helped me!

Top Tip! If you want to impress people at your local marina but can't afford a high-end superyacht then just buy one of these and nip in and out of the marina every 15 minutes, and everyone will think you have a superyacht anchored somewhere so exclusive that they can't even see it!
I can imagine this taking off from the water, flying upward to the awaiting mothership in the sky!

This kind of layout was done back in the 20-30’s where companies like Chris Craft and Garwood designed boats where you had a cabin in the middle with the outside forward helm except this one takes it to the next level

That was a wonderful change of pace taking us on a tour of a tender. Though I don't know how I feel about the pilot be exposed like that but hey what fo I know. Otherwise a gorgeous boat. Please give us some more tours of Bering yachts if you can find them! Keep up the great work.
