I just bought a g3 for 20 quid. Pumps ok. Same issue with water in display. The down arrow seems to reboot the thing when pressed, but it's not hooked up and pumping so maybe that's why. I don't care about all the settings as long as it pumps and filters.
Would you have the filter basket, big black outer piece that clamps onto the head unit ? Mine was cracked in the mail and cannot find that part on this planet. ha ha
i recall recommending that you shitcan the fluval back when you got it.. a marine tank is no place for a canister filter... the g6 was always a turd... the 404 was the last decent fluval made.. for freshwater that is.. eheim makes a much nicer canister.. for freshwater that is..
Indeed you did, I will be monitoring the levels closely now the tank is on its own. I still don't see why increasing the water volume, having carbon media, a filter and live rock in an external filter is a bad thing.
You bought it used, so you have no idea what was done to it before. so calling it trash is based on nothing. The ony way the lever can be corroded is it was not cared for as they would never come in contact with the water. Obviously it was submerged so staged distruction.
Bought used g3 a year ago for 130l marine, works perfect and cleans better than a genuine fluval 130l marine tank filtration system.

Rust, peeling chrome. Like an Italian car.
One of my swivel locking arms is broken. The handle. Anyone knows where I can get a replacement?

There's only one moving part. Wonder what's wrong with it? Smh.
