This sounds heroic to do to yourself. How much worst is this than removing your own rear molar without pain killer?

Thank you for your videos! 😊May I know after proper cleaning & debridement, for dry necrotic wounds, is it to use hydrogel & a hydrocolloid dressing over it? Is that alright or are there better dressings?

hydrogel would be ok if needed although I would not use a hydrocolloid dressing as this may cause maceration and tissue breakdown.

you can use a non-scented skin lotion on your face but not on or over an open sore, you would want to provide proper wound care to the area.

You must understand that I do not have enough information and I need to do a full assessment, the amount of information I can give you is hard without a full assessment. If you need to add moisture to the wound a hydrogel will work or even Vaseline. You can also use a non-contact layer (adaptic) on the wound before covering. Without seeing the wound and completing an assessment once again it is very hard as I'm not 100% sure as to what the wound actually needs so these are just some basic things you can try. I am trying to help to the best of my ability, although with that said please seek a full assessment either through your primary care physician or with me at thewoundconsultant.com/ola/services/basic-wound for the best possible advice and outcome.

after the necrotic tissue removal yes it will be open, if they have prescribed an antibiotic cream for the wound this is what you should be using!

Here is a video on the different types of debridment. I would consult a dr or local wound care specialist for this. It all depends on the type of dead tissue we are dealing with for the course of action.
