    You can make the leds brighter by PWM on the drive current. If you run a quick PWM of 10%, the current only has to be increased about 2.5 times because of eye persistence to look at about the same brightness. You just need to stay in the low end of the led SOA. Very high currents in very short pulses look very bright even though the average is small. We regularily run red leds at 2 amps and a very low PWM to get very long life, super bright leds for high use road signage.

    As always GreatScott presents a great project, well done! As a next project, a controlboard with switches and potentiometers for controlling your PCs audio would be awesome. Now I don't mean your usual mixer for doing music, I mean that it should serve as an external "volume mixer" for everyday use, allowing the user to e.g crank up the volume of a game while having spotify remaining as it is and vise versa.

    Should of used the (Auto Router ) its faster to do this and then check the tracers manually editing each one as and were needed. As that board was so large for such a small project you probably wouldn't of had to modify any of the tracers the auto route did.Then just running the DRC/ERC would alert you to any problems. Also.Also making ground plains on both sides would of made for a much nicer board. It would of been cheaper to do a small PCB and use headers to connect to the display. i use OSH Park for my PCB'S there pretty cheap

    Hoffe es findet sich jemand der mir hier auf deutsch Antworten kann :D Habe mir überlegt mir mal einen Arduino auf Weinachten zu kaufen, finde das ganze eigentlich sehr interessant. Ich habe nur nich besonders viel Ahnung von Elektrik und sowas, haben das nur vor 2 Jahren im Physikunterricht gemacht. Die Programmierung dürfte kein Problem darstellen, in welcher Sprache programmiert man den Arduino eigentlich? Kann mir jemand ein Starter Kit oder sowas in der Art empfehlen? Ich habe keine Idee was ich damit mal genau machen will, habe mir aber für irgendwann mal so ein Audio Spektrum in den Kopf gesetzt. Freue mich über jeden Rat :D

    • @samull4946
      @samull4946 8 лет назад

      Arduinos werden in einer eigenen Sprache programmiert, die glaub ich auf Java basiert. Starter kits sind in der Regel überteuert, kauf lieber ein Steckbrett, Jumper Kabel und den Rest erst, wenn du den brauchst. Ich habe mir letztes Jahr einen Raspberry Pi gekauft. Ein Argument für mich für Pi statt Arduino war halt die einfachere Programmiersprache(Python) und das Teil taugt auch zum Webserver testen und so. Wir machen Elektrik grade in Physik xD
