    R. Schumann: Symphony no. 2 in C major op. 61 - II. Scherzo. Allegro vivace
    Abstract:
Pablo Heras-Casado corrects aspects of articulation, dynamics and phrasing of the second movement of Symphony no. 2 by Schumann. The character of the movement must always be very bright, and the articulation should help to find that dynamism. It is necessary to keep the tempo without slowing down because that makes losing brightness. The articulation is established by the first violins and the other instruments listen to and follow them as in chamber music. They work the spiccato of the strings, which is the articulation that keeps the spirit of the movement.
