Amazing Little Cabin to can Buy on Amazon for $18,800
These days you can pretty much buy anything online, including homes. Yes, you can actually buy a log home building kit from Amazon that will be delivered right to your building site. This isn't a full-sized home though; it's a log cabin that could be used as a vacation cottage or as an additional building on your property. You could use the additional unit as a home office or a guesthouse, even a rental unit. This wood cabin kit is called the Lillevilla Allwood Cabin Kit, and it's a small 292 square foot space with a sleeping loft which could also be used as storage. The Lillevilla Allwood cabin is from the classic collection created by Lillevilla who's products are distributed in Europe. The company also offers smaller units like storage sheds and units as well as playhouses for the kids.
This cottage package comes with everything needed to build the model you see here including the patio on the front of the cabin. Having a terrace like this, you'll end up with more space to use in addition to the inside space. You could even set out an outdoor sofa set with a coffee table and make it into an outdoor living area. Or place a dining set for some meals outside. The roof rafters will also add some extra protection from the sun and rain while out on the patio.
The cabin kits come with all of the floorboards which is 16mm thick, as well as the roofing material which is covered with a membrane, but the shingles or roofing material must be purchased separately through the company's website. In the cabin materials, there are also metallic storm rods embedded into the wood which will help with weather resistance and stability. You'll also get all of the manufactured logs, the doors and windows for the model you see here. The kit also comes with the nails, bolts, and screws needed to assemble the cottage. For the larger cabins, it's best to contact your local housing authorities to check whether or not you'll need a permit to build the cottage on your property. Usually, buildings under 400 square feet can be built without a permit, but it's different in every place. If you live in one of the countries where the cabins are distributed, you can also hire one of their contractors to help you set it up. But it's also easy enough to set up with the help of a few other people.
When you're all finished, you can hire someone to put in all of the utility hookups to make the cabin comfortable. For those in colder climates, it would be important to add some extra insulation to the log cabin too. If your cabin doesn't need to be insulated, you'll want to build it on a ventilated base, but if you'd like your building to be insulated, it's best to build on a concrete slab foundation. The foundation is another thing that the customer will have to set up before the log cabin package arrives on their property. So you can hire a company to come out and do that beforehand. Since the wood is untreated, the first treatment or protective sealant should be applied immediately after building the log cabin to protect it from the elements and mould. The interior of the cottage should also be treated, including the doors and windows. Make sure you used the correct paint for wood and logs. Then, once you're all finished with the hard work, you can start to decorate the log cabin and make it feel homier and inviting by adding furniture and your own little touches.

I would extend the roof out to the edge of the patio and make that into a screened porch. This would give you added living space and you would be able to open the doors to create more air flow through the house.

where i live, anything over 200 square feet requires a permit.. or anything smaller than 200 IF there is over 50v electrical and/or plumbing.. but for the true experience, this could be an amazing workshop with solar panels to light/cool and LPG for any other needs. there are dozens of A/C units and lighting kits that only use 12-24v power.

It is getting to the point that you might as well not go to the government. They make rules to make it very hard to build anything and it is all just to get your money after you are done building. I wouldn't go to the government, I would just build and take the chance.

Review from Amazon: OVERPRICED UNINSULATED THIN WALLED PIECE OF JUNK
Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2019
This is NOT a turn key house. You'll be better off building one on your own from materials you purchase locally. This thin walled (1 3/4 inch thick) piece of junk has nothing but a few floor joists, a few ceiling rafters and crap for exterior wall. It will cost you another 30-40 thousand to make it livable. you will need to insulate, roof, plumb, put in cabinetry, flooring and a foundation to sit it on complete with tie-downs to the compliance of where you live. Build this same thing with metal studs and you'll be better off. If you're planning to trailer this as a travel trailer house, metal studs will be lighter weight and more durable. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY.
