- In this first episode of Road to Cedros, we’ll unbox and review my new saltwater tackle, to fish some of the most legendary waters in Mexico for the first time - rumored to hold 40#-50#++ class Yellowtails, Pacific Halibut, Calico and more.
We will be traveling through San Diego, California, another sport fishing capital, and crossing the border via the Cross Border Express, and flying in a small plane to Cedros Island.
Cedros Outdoor Adventures will be hosting us for a 5 full days of fishing.
CEDROS ISLAND is one of Mexico’s premier sport fishing destinations, located off the west coast of the Baja California Peninsula. Cedros is a Mexican Natural Protected Area (NPA): a special dedication from the Mexican Government requiring strict management and focus on sustainable practices.
Originally called Huamalgua, the “Island of Fogs” in the 16th Century, today the island has a population of roughly 1500 residents, and has a square area of 348 km2.
