These would be great gifts in some of those novelty fabrics, like football teams, superheroes, etc.

Nice tutorial Melly. Several years ago I was teaching sewing classes out of my home to 4th and 5th grade girls. This pillowcase was one of their projects. The tutorials available on you tube at that time weren’t very good. Yours is clear and concise and anyone should be able to sew one up easily. Thanks for this great new tutorial for an old standby.

Great to see a video that explains what is happening, versus just music. Thanks for sharing on how to do a French seam. I've made pillowcases before, but much prefer how you do it. Do you have the measurements for Queen and King?

No, but those are easy enough the google and add a seam allowance to.

I need some new pillow cases... perfect timing. Love the 'burrito' method.

I would love to use this idea to sew basket liners!
We have a son with special needs who is in pull-ups and sometimes there are messes. We are moving into a house with the washing machine in the basement and I need a solution for soiled clothes upstairs. I thought I’d use a small, lidded “garbage can” with a fabric liner that could go right in the wash with the things inside it (I’d dump them into the washer separately, but the items would be contained while making the trip to the basement). Basically the fabric liner would take the place of a garbage bag.
If you or any viewers have suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

I'd sew something more like this, just adjusting the measurements mellysews.com/beginner-sewing-project-learn-to-sew-a-drawstring-bag/

In some of the other videos, I’ve seen a unique sewing table in the background. Is it DIY or for purchase somewhere? Is there perhaps a sewing room tour video with more detail about the sewing table?
