    Warren/Erica: I really want to thank you for sharing that video clip with Dr Poole. You've helped me reconnect with Michael who is an ancient friend of mine when we were just teenagers eons ago. Anyway, I've reached out to him and have reconnected. He shared a super review of both you and Erica. Thanks again. Keep up the great content. Maybe you can find more of my friends.....lol. Ken

He’s an amazing man, glad we met him for sure, only regret is how shot his clip was because he is a great speaker and so knowledgeable!! Maybe we will release the full version interview down the road… anyways, glad you guys reconnected, and thanks very much for taking the time to watch and comment!! Cheers

    Once again you folks capture and share truly incredible moments of the natural world we share with species that we know so little about. Such images remind me of native American, Robin Kimmerer's equivalence of us humans with other species by referring to them as "non human persons" instead of "animals" in her magnificent book, . Thank you, once again, for taking us on your journey.

    An awesome experience.
    We spent a week at Tonga Blue Lagoon resort. Even more intimate experience there as the regulations only allow four swimmers plus guide in the water at any one time.
    The intimacy between mother and calf plus tactile interaction is delightful. The inquisitiveness of the calves make it spell binding.
    Your water clarity, calm seas and blue skies really enhance the quality of your experience.

    As with SO MANY PEOPLE the selfish self-centeredness runs their lives. Never a thought about what impact their actions may have on others around them or the environment they are in.

    Nice, we just spent a few weeks captaining a cat in Raiatea, Tahaa, and Bora Bora. Be sure to go to the acquarium “river” west side of Tahaa.
    I saw your dinghy has a throttle extension…I think those are critical especially with a 9.9 if you’re alone. I like using a stiffish hose for flexibility. Do you guys have a larger cavitation plate on your dinghy motor? If you don’t, be sure to get one, they are amazingly effective-more likely to plane with two people with a 9.9.

    • @WEsail
      @WEsail Год назад +1

      Hey thanks for messaging, ya this area is AMAZING!!! Glad you got to see some of it! We actually have a 15hp 4 stroke, and have really been debating if we should spring for that plate, I think your recommendation just swung us.. we can plane with 4 adults usually, but nothing else can be in the dinghy, no dive gear, no groceries, etc… anyways cheers and happy new year!!

    With respect to diving with whales, I would like to know whether we should behave differently if a mother whale is present with her baby or whether she remains as docile as without his presence.

    • @WEsail
      @WEsail Год назад

      Hello and great question, it’s really the mother and calf that need our special attention and proper behavior!! Okay so the best answer I can give is that it could go either way with a mother and calf, on one hand they are very smart and curious animals and the mothers seem to encourage (or at least tolerate) the calves to play and investigate us, other times (especially close to birth) the mother wants to be left alone and get rest for both her and the calf… so it could go either way, and the only special behavior would be to just pay close attention to the pair- you should be able to tell quite easily if the calf (and sometimes mother too) is hanging around and playing or if they are seemingly trying to get away… and if they are inside any pass or lagoon, they are almost certainly there to rest so they really need to be left alone and viewed from a distance… good luck!!
