Omg I’ve been using the BOJ eye serum since the day after it released. I freaking lovvvee it! I have yet to get irritation. Love the fact that they put it in a 1 Oz pump tube too! An American brand would easily charge 100$+ for this eye serum I could see
I just read your other comment wow girl your super smart wish I could do math like that. I was curious how much you use this eye cream. How many times a week or if your using it daily cause I have been thinking about getting it but I was like is it worth it to use it 1 or 2 times a week.
I’ve been using this serum since a few days after its releasing. It works so well under my eyes, but not on my eyelids-there’s a contraindication point to use any type of retinal on the eyelid. I sometimes use it all over my face since its texture is quite lightweight and absorbing pretty well. In conclusion, this serum is the best.
This product has been in my cart to purchase. I love both retinal and retinol but my star ingredient has to be retinal, non irritating and makes my skin look healthy. It has been said that Retinal works 11x faster than retinol. Retinol is also non irritating to me. I spend on good retinal/retinol products since it’s a priority in my routine.
I was really intrigued by this gentle retinal because my adapalene becomes way too drying and irritating during the winter. A gentle yet effective retinoid was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the review!
I've been using this eye cream for a week and love it! Thanks so much for the info about using it on the neck! I've yet to find my "ideal" neck cream so I'm definitely going to try that moving forward!
I'm actually waiting for my first order of this eye serum to arrive from Stylevanna and I can't wait. I'm actually downgrading from using tretinoin to this retinal because I'm finding that tret is making my face red (I've been using tretinoin for over a year). So currently I'm thinking on using this eye serum around my eyes and the Geek & Gorgeous A-Game10 retinal on my face and neck instead so hopefully my redness will subside.
Sorry to bother you, where did you ordered the Geek and Gorgeous from? Really want to order that one after I heard Mad About Skin talk about it, but only can find it directly from the UK.
I have been using prescription strength Tretinoin on my face and have worked my way up to 0.1% over a couple of years. My face is like rhinoceros skin and can take just about anything I throw at it! My neck and chest are another story. I recently tried the SCINIC Cicanoid Retinal cream because I would love the benefits of retinoic acid on this area as well. My neck is still too sensitive for this, chest is fine. So thank you Kelly for the recommendation especially since Korean brands are so affordable. Whoop!!
Hello Kelly. Have you ever tried the brand Geek and Gorgeous? They have a GREAT serum call it A Game (5 or 10) with Retinal, is for the face but I use it also in my under eye area and I have seen very great results. I thought I would never be able to use retinol or retinal because I have very sensitive skin with rosacea (I can't use vitamin C for example or any AHA's), but this product in fact is very gentle but at the same time very effective, there are days that I don't put any moisturizer after applied. I started with A Game 5 (with 0.05% retinal) and after the first bottle I changed to A Game 10 (0.1%) and neither of them has given me any side effects at all, on the contrary, my skin is better than ever, very soft and is retaining the moisture better. I have been using it every single night (after the slow start for two weeks) for the last 4 months. Maybe you could give it a try 😉
I've just ordered the A-Game 5 and I'm super excited to use it after reading your comment. I also have rosacea and desperately wanted to try a retinol product but was worried about making things worse. Retinal sounds so much nicer for me.
@@marcellakicks6181 I hope you like it! I recommend you apply a light moisturizing cream or toner before the serum for the first week or two while your skin gets used to the retinal. Also, if where you live is cold, maybe you have to apply a moisturizer after the serum as well (I live in France and it's colder now, so now I clean my face, and when it's dry, I apply the serum and after 5 minutes a light moisturizer). Just feel what your skin likes. Good luck!
That is exactly what happened to me also. I have been using adapalene on my face for a while so I thought this would be great for my eyes and neck. I was too aggressive and my lids and neck reacted right away. I don’t know why I thought I could jump right in with it every night. Thanks for the insight and I will try it again more slowly. I tried it on my face and it was great!
So excited to see this! I just literally bought it today.. and just now put it on my eye areas. I got no reaction.. it just glide on my skin well 😆 I didnt use any vit c or any exfoliation, just toner & hydrating essence before using this.. Just incase it reacts badly if layered with others. 😅 So far it has no prob at all.
@@KellyDriscoll 😂 well… after using it 2x i notice i got no reaction at all upon application, but i got mild irritation feeling the next morning 😅 altho it goes away after a day or two
I dont know why but after i started using it on my face (as a retinal product) it broke my skin out so much. I was expecting it but i never had acne like this before and i started using it 2 times per week for a month. And now its been about 2 months and i feel like im just having new pimples daily and none of them is going away.
Same thing happened to me I thought oh my eyes can take it, like I used it for stright 4 nights then on the 5th day, oh boy I wipe my eye with make up remover gentle just pressing and it 🔥 😢 since then I haven’t use it yet so scaref and maybe my other skin care like ah bha toner or rice haruharu toner made my eye more sensotive or my moisturiser as well. Please do a skincare routine for broken irritated skin please thanks.
Thank you for the review Kelly! Been eyeing this eye cream for a long time to replace my inkey list retinol serum (planning to use this on my face tho) !
personally i can’t apply any actives even just niacinimide on my lids and that’s totally fine. i just apply everything everywhere else and put some cerave healing ointment on my lids as “eye cream” and it’s been great. i feel like the lids don’t need the same kind of treatments as under eyes/rest of the face anyways

Thank you so incredibly much! I don’t have acne but I’m interested in starting a retinal to even out my skin tone! Do you think this may be a good beginner retinal to help with mild pigmentation? Or should I try something like the wishtrend one? And thank you so incredibly much!
I read this question here about how often you should apply retinal when you start using it. When I first ordered it from Germany, because you couldn't get any retinaldehyde products in Sweden at the time, I was so worried. My skin couldn't tolerate anything! When the product (0.05% retinal in an emollient base) arrived I began applying it every night. I've been listening to conversations that you have to be careful, make sure you ease into it bla bla... But I'm ADHD! My moderation compass is totally out of whack. So I applied it every night and by the third or fourth night my skin felt a but raw. So I skipped a night and then got right on it again for maybe five nights before my skin felt tender again and skipped a night. The whole "retinization" process was *so* effortless that within a few weeks I was using it every night. And have kept on doing so for twenty years. I'm 51 now and frankly don't feel the need to progress to prescription retinoids.
Blackheads are tricky, some find most benefit from BHA but others get noticeable results from AHA. It's more about finding what works for you, it might eveb be a combination! No to Beauty of Joseon. Their products didnt bring any change to my skin!! I prefer to go back to french pharmacy.
This is probably going to be the most unpopular opinion in the world, but I think k-beauty is overrated. European products are far superior when it comes to formulizing actives that will actually make a difference for your skin.
@@vegasgirl3538 What is the difference in formulizing?
@@vegasgirl3538 Its because k-beauty are more gentle and long term
@@vegasgirl3538 if you need results like within a month then yes maybe. But k-beauty (if done correctly) is gentler and works over a longer period of time. I’ve been using it for 10 years since I was 20 and still look 20, it’s like it’s frozen my face in time
great video!! 🫶🏽 i need it!
