    Your video has been the only one that I could find to break down the whole process to me and I appreciate it. Been going back and forth about whether or not to texlax and your video made it sound less scary. Thank you!

    Thank you for this. I have grown tiresome of my natural hair and dread washing it because of how long I know it will take. The weather here is so haywire that, no hair style sticks. Texlaxing is my next step. That or shaving it all off lol

    Oooo, Texlax is when I used to use what I call a transitional relaxer to release the coil. My hair is more manicured looking that way. I'm super natural right now

    Hi, thank you so much for your video it's so helpful. Do you put the oil on the hair that you're applying the relaxer to as well? What kind of oil do you use?
    I've been going to my hairdresserer for a texturiser for years and found that he was basically just relaxing my hair. Finally I got fed up of my weak dried out straight hair and decided to do it myself. Your video is so helpful and gives me more confidence to do it on my own. Thank you =)

    • @FreshLengths
      @FreshLengths 8 лет назад

      +elusivebabe hey thank you. I base as much as my scalp possible by making several small partings and applying vaseline along them. Some relaxer kits come with a base which isn't necessarily vaseline but I've only ever used vaseline personally x

    thx for sharing . i having been relaxing for 1 yr now and found out that i text lax my hair on an accident lol i really dont like that look on me and going for a more relaxed texture . but im on a no heat challenge. I do half and half method when time to rinse out I do in this order rinse out my relaxer( affirm Purple tub mild lye relaxer 15 min.) apply the 2 min aphogee protein to my hair next (2 dime sizes for literally 1 min. ) rinse out and neutralize 4 to five times then condition i have found I loose way less hair when i do it that way for me

    • @user-zx5xw4yw2e

      tina mcclain-patton. No difference at all. Texlax is just a 'more modern term'. ( n a lot of people are incorrectly 'texturizing'.)

    • @jm536
      @jm536 6 лет назад +5

      maybe I’m wrong but I thought a a “texturizer” was supposed to give you a looser curl and a texlax was a relaxer but you put conditioner or oils in it to dilute it 🤷🏾‍♀️

      Hey I always used to do it every 5-6 months but it's really up to you as long as there's enough new growth you can technically texlax at 8 weeks but the longer you leave it the less likely you are going to overprocess your hair

    • @stufff45
      @stufff45 6 лет назад

      Fresh Lengths ok thanks, I just texlax my hair I think I didn't leave it in long enough, afraid it would take curls, I used shea butter texturizer. I'm about to deep condition, it left my ends dry.

      In the video I show the exact relaxer I used (2:16). Texlaxing is definitely an option if you're looking for a way of loosening your natural curl pattern but it is permanent so I'd suggest testing it out on a very small section of your hair first to make sure you like it x

    Your hair is naturally curly- Meaning already texlaxed- Get of the hair crack.

    • @user-zx5xw4yw2e
      @user-zx5xw4yw2e 6 лет назад

      I think what he/she meant to say was: the hair already has loose curls. Otherwise that statement doesn't nt make sense, as curly does not equal texlaxed. My curls are super duper curly but I'm not texlaxed. If I were to get a texturizer it will make my tight curls 'loose'.
