To anybody reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind may clarity replace confusion. may peace and calmness fill your life.
When I was young, I worked up in the high arctic as a carpenter when we'd get called out to repair a door or something outside in these kinds of conditions, mostly whiteout. It was tough sledding but we got the job done ,then back inside for a bite to eat then hit the rack for some shut eye. One night I spied out my little window a small arctic fox curling himself up in a ball waiting for the snow to cover him to keep him nice and warm. I heard arctic wolves do the same thing just lay down in the snow and let it cover them. All of the buildings were connected together by nylon rope that we would traverse between buildings. We always worked in pairs looking out for each other as we went and worked. The last time that I was up there was in the 80's but I miss it and the people that I worked with. The last tour that I did was for 9 months including all winter from Oct to April in the dark. I'll sleep good tonight listening to this . Thanks for posting this......;-]
Really liked reading about your time in the high arctic and how nature imbued the animals with the means to stay safe and warm even in the midst of the worst conditions. Thank you for the visual … as I drift off to slumber! 🥰
The hint of a moan they call a banchee wind. I lived on the north slope of Arctic Alaska a while. In the winter was total darkness and so cold it sucked all moisture out of the air. It’s a dessert climate. It’s so cold the grains of snow and ice rub against each other like sand creating a low moan of a howl. Like a ghostly woman wailing. Like this. The coldest I experienced was -65F with a -84F windchill. The snow with no breakers traveled long distances before it covered buildings whole. I remember shaking frost off my covers where they touched the walls. 20yrs I lived in the bush. It sounded like this.
just love that story! ❤thanks! It helps me visualize the way you lived. absolutely love these stories to go with the videos. more people should do that to add to their videos! helps to make things more realistic!! 🥰

That’s amazing! I spent one winter in South Korea, and it was very cold. Miserably cold! So cold that I told friends that I was moving to the tropics. Never did.
I love this absolutely perfect I'll listen to the sounds which deff helps my insomnia then to deal with it lol I hate the snow now I'm older but that sound of it tho is so surreal and just comfortable and cozy
I live in Wisconsin and in the throws of January During the nightand in the middle of a blizzard I would crack my window and let the Storm take me to a beautiful world. I'm of Norwegian blood, and I'm sure its a primal thing.
I had the wonderful opportunity to grow up on a cattle ranch where neighbors were miles apart, and no exterior lights except the moon, stars, and a barn light. Looking across the open fields from my bedroom window listening to the winds blow across newly fallen snow as I lay in bed with a window cracked open Didn't get any better!
Thank you, just subscribed. I can't believe I got nearly 9 hours sleep with this video playing through the night, I'm so delighted. Good health to you and yours. 😊🥰🏴
Subscribed for this video specifically haha love it… it makes me able to sleep and is so soothing and all the other winter videos I found were way too harsh. Thx mate for the good content
Reminds me of the battle of Stalingrad. There were times it was just too cold to fight. The oil in gun barrels froze, oil pans in panzers froze so it was mother nature's way of a cease fire.
The worst Blizzard 🥶 I ever experienced, was the Blizzard of 93 in New York, we got walloped with record breaking snow ❄️ we couldn’t get out of the house for Hours, because the snow went past the top of the Door and reached the Roof, from wind drifts. This reminds of that day.

Thanks for this. The word banshee tells me about the sound. I love this (in the comfort of my own bed and no snow on the blanket!)
