As we transition to a new world, the pandemic changing so many things that were once routine, most of us grapple with grief, loss and the discomfort of being thrown into situations that are no longer familiar. Time persists, changing everything, the only constant in our lives. The ticking clock, creates new life and takes life simultaneously, and our universe changes in just a moment. Everything repeats cyclically, one for another, another for another, leaving and returning - fortunes, emotions, lives - riding on waves that have no end in sight.

The dance starts off like a serious warming up with a series of jathis.
The movements mimic the pendulum of a clock, the fingers the tic toc of the Minute and the Hour hands.
Is the awakening of the six aadhaara chakras also depicted here?
Why the throwing up (?) Hugging a baby (??)
Throwing it in water (???)
with a goodbye kiss (????)
Whatever I can't understand makes me feel very sad.
Right now I feel awful instead of feeling awesome, after watching your dance.
Why is so much pain and suffering transmitted by some of your dances?
Are you getting rid of them in the best way you know...by dancing with abandon???
When I want to get rid of my negative emotions, I write scorching poem ( and tear it up later) to get the negative emotions out of my system.
Maybe each of us have a different outlet for our feelings.

I have read somewhere that when a conscious effort ( anything like singing,dancing, meditation etc) is done ,the effect is rise of energy in the body which has its own intelligence to work on different levels of our existence physical,mental, emotional, spiritual etc.
I feel rukmani's dance is totally a deep meditative state and all her movements , expressions are all reflection of the deeper dimensions of our existence.
This dance is beyond mind and watching it is like "DARSHAN" of LORD SHIVA'S OVERFLOWING ENERGY for me...
I was stunned, speechless ....
I m also confused and trying to find the answer"Why".

So the conscious effort is taken over by the increased energy and from then things go on by themselves - unplanned and unrehearsed.
Now I understand better.
True! We do operate in many levels - mostly physical and intellectual and emotional.
But when the superior energy takes over, things start happening by themselves - since we become demigods.

To me it's a 'cubistic' piece... especially in video editing style that establishing the whole narration from seemingly irrelevant parts of moves very rhytmically like complicating some meaningful sentences from random words. İt's a beautiful thecnic. I wonder how far you go with this much more elaborated fashion. Congrats

Instead of time working against us - bogging us down in mechanical routines, wearing down our bodies by age, playing into the hands of our opponents who grow in strength - we can make time work for us - lifting us through the intimacy of seasons and cycles, strenghtening our tendons, muscles and nerves in physical and spiritual exercise, waiting out our adveraries until the moment to strike is opportune...
Above all else - and in any given moment - to place our faith and hope into time, personified - that our moment came, eventually and in the long run was not in vain.
Your beauty and grace will never cease to amaze me. I wish you love, and hope for our sake and yours that your will continue to amaze us with your mesmerizing performances for years to come. :)
I really found the concept unique! Loved the way you have put it all together ❤️ I have one suggestion though - maybe you can try collaborating with great lyricists/song writers? Sometimes words can really add to what you're trying to create here. Ofcourse, it won't work if the lyrics is just all over the place, will definitely need to be something that comes from as much heart and soul as your dance is 😍❤️
I'm no lyricist, but here's a poem I wrote about impermanence and human cravings (here 'land' stands for the state of impermanence or enlightenment):
That's where I belong
Born as a tortoise to the lands

I looked this video without a sound, but I heard rhythmical tik-tak hours and whistle of a pendulum dissecting air. You are magnificent.
Am i right to see here a significant influence by Pina Bausch? If so, this is a most beautiful merge of her concepts of modern dance with traditional indian dance tradition. Sorry, i can only see the world of dance trough my my pre-condition of western dance.
