秩父川瀬祭り2024/本町屋台と花笠の子供達が本町通りを行く

こちらは本町通りで本町屋台の曳き廻しの様子です。
力強い秩父屋台囃子が響く中、花笠を付けた子供たちが華やかな姿で拍子木を鳴らしていました。

本町屋台（もとまちやたい）
所在地：秩父市番場町1番1号（秩父神社境内）
所有者：本町会
本町は、明治以降、笠鉾を建造して川瀬祭の付祭りに曳行した。現在の本町屋台は、昭和１０年に建造されたもので、八棟造り（やつむねづくり）の重量感あふれる屋根が特徴となっている。
彫刻は、屋根の鬼板と懸魚（げぎょ）、内室（うちむろ）の立隠の左右、各一対で物語を表現している。屋根の各彫刻には、担当した作者名が墨書してある。

This is a picture of Motomachi Yatai being pulled around Honmachi Street.
While the powerful Chichibu Yatai Hayashi echoed, children wearing hanagasa hats played the clappers in a gorgeous manner.

Motomachi Yatai

Since the Meiji era, Motomachi has built kasaboko and towed them to the Kawase Festival. The current Honmachi Yatai was built in 1933, and is characterized by its heavy, heavy roof.
A pair of carvings, one on each side of the oni board and gegyo on the roof, and on the left and right side of the tategakure in the inner room, express a story. Each carving on the roof has the name of the artist in charge of it written in ink.
