Adore your vlogs, Aline! I hear you on the cost of period products. I started using a menstrual cup back in 2017 and I will never go back; not only do I save money every month, I don't have to worry about carrying "supplies" on me or wake up every two hours to change my tampon. I know it's not for everyone, but the savings alone make it something I can't help but mention.

I use a menstrual cut and love it. Look into that and also period underwear.
I get the thought process but actually Brooklyn is a pretty massive borough! My partner’s place is still super far away from the neighborhood where my haircut was. It would’ve been an hour commute no matter where I was! But thank you so much on the rest of your comment!! Love is real lol !! 🕺💗

it’s called a budget 🕺 Also I ended up going to a 100% employee owned salon where the stylists get to keep the entire rate and control their prices, it’s a win/win. Also when did I say “trip to europe?” I bought a ticket to the UK that cost me about the same as a haircut at a standard salon. But you’re right, it’s all about priorities .
Lol who gives a crap what you spend your money on, as long as it makes you happy and aligns with your values. I like knowing how others budget and what they prioritize.
Let me just drop here that using a menstrual cup has totally changed my period experience. Highly recommend folks to try it out. the amount of $$ saved on tampons and pads alone is worth the switch, and it’s better for the planet too!🎉
