Miami Design District one of my fav. All the high end stores, it’s so well maintained. Good spot to spend the afternoon. Thanks for sharing w us. I’ll be visiting this summer.
Wow. Totally enlightening little walkabout, Ken. Heretofore, have been completely ignorant of such a locale as the Miami Design District. Loved it! Your excursion, as usual, filled the fun quota to the brim for being keenly insightful, quietly edifying and hella entertaining.
The Miami Design District reminds me a bit of Beverly Hills. 😎 I enjoyed seeing the Mia Market food court and the art installations throughout the area. This is a great place for hang out, and adults can even be kids again on the swings! 😃 Thank you for sharing this relaxing stroll, AK! 🤗
Nice looking neighborhood , fancy looking stores for mostly to the rich people , Louis Vuitton etc …. ! Nice continuom to the previous stream 🙂! Nice walk and nice weather along your walk , nice mall ! Overall very enjoyable walk and video ! Thank you for sharing this quite cool video A K 🌴👍!!!
The reason why the Internet is so bad in the design district and they don’t want you to live stream is it to help prevent theft by groups of individuals who live stream current security information.
Wow! What a difference! In 1988, while in Miami, we took a wrong turn while driving around town. Let's just say another passenger in the car had her gun cocked. Not a safe neighborhood back then.
Lol~~~~~😹😎Thanks🌴🌿🌱🌴for the lovely walking tour of the interesting Design District in Miami❣️I love all the whimsical and colorful sculptures and play features all around the mall. Would have been nice to go into the Art Gallery with you !😸🌝Watch out for the speeding posh cars🌴🏎💨‼️
It's now called Wynwood. Yes it was previously known as "The Design District". Every Year there is the "Art Basel" event in that Area. In 2020 it was cancelled due to the Pandemic, but I think this is past Year it went through. I think it's coming up this Year. Loved this video AK.
@@markprad I always thought it was known as " The Design District" aside Buena Vista, back in the 90s. Last time that I was in that Area, was in 2013 and everyone keep telling me. That it was all called Wynwood not the Design District anymore. 🤷🏻♂️
@@markprad I've lived in Miami from 1984 to 2017. I've hung out in Downton, Bayside, The Omini Area etc. Through the 90s into the 2000s. Up until sometime in the 2010s the name Wynwood was put in place IN what had always been previously known as "The Design District" and as far as I know. I've driven there Countless times even used to frequent Night Clubs there 20 Years Ago or more.
@@markprad You are correct The Design District just north of 36th was mainly an interior designers' district of which there is there is still a strong presence. Wynwood to the south (29th St.) was the home to several large fabric warehouses and fashion suppliers. It was the formerly referred to as the fashion district.
Looks like a shimmering shrine dedicated to luxury goods catering to a congregation of consumeristic worshipers. "O come, all ye faithful"...and buy overpriced symbols of social validation. Lol, Miami...

Just left Miami the other day, and I’m so glad I got to really shop and explore the Design District. I loved every minute I was there.

How lovely! 😍 Looks like a pleasant area to spend an afternoon doing some people watching, sipping on ice cream and interacting with the artwork. ☺

Shit I might have to go to Miami then . Is it cheap for a weekend ?
Depends on the rates. I think it's possible to do it inexpensively.

Wynwood is south of 36th. Design Destrict was orginally East Buena Vista
