    This is what I’ve been telling my buddies. I generally find that you want to move the slider to like 70-90% of the desired direction, and I mostly tune using the visual map. It is frustrating that I have no idea if that visual map actually maps onto the reality of the gun stats. CoD has been notorious about lying with the visual stat bars lmao. But until people like you and data miners get down to the nitty gritty of it, it’s all I have to go on. It’s good to know that your findings support that I’ve been on the right track.

    Thank god you out this video out today! This morning I was re-tuning my attachments on the Lachmann 556 and saw a strange pattern while tuning the 15.9” RAPP barrel - The slider moves between ADS and Damage Range, however, if you watch the values depicted you realize that when you slide between -0.20 and -0.26 towards better ADS there’s actually point where your ADS gets worse rather than better in the handling category despite what the slider target is telling you is supposed to happen. I had noticed how the graph moved - sometimes it would make a huge jump, then small ones, even getting worse sometimes. The way I tune is I move the slider in the direction I want and see if there's a big jump at some point. If there are no more big jumps, I try to leave it just past the big jump so as to not affect the other stats too much. Once in a while, you get a big increase in one area and big decrease in another (usually recoil/ADS) and you just have to make the choice. Also helpful to go to the firing range after each tune to see if there's any noticeable difference.

    The aim sway makes perfect sense. As having the ripper grip is always going to give you better sway control than not having one. So although you're tuning away some of the extra sway control it will never be less than the default gun.

    • @j.d.p.
      @j.d.p. Год назад +3

      No it doesn't, Tony's base here is the attachment with no tuning (so it already has the improved aim stability as the reference point). • @invisalats841
      @invisalats841 Год назад +2

      They aren't better naked. Mobility is better naked. They went a little overboard with mobility penalties for attachments. I set up the AK ripoff for recoil control without tuning, and it was basically a laser, but you had no real ads movement, and all movement is penalized. Great if you want to camp and peek out windows all match, not so great if you are not in a building or on a rooftop.
      I mean, I don't want realism, but it is a complete fantasy world to have attachments give such high penalties. Also, ads speed is an issue as well when using recoil control attachments.
      So you basically choose between having attachments to make it easier to hit the target or not having more attachments to have decent ads time and movement ability. My setup had a longer ads time than most snipers lol. Also the whole leveling and unlocking gunsmith system is annoying as heck and time consuming. They actually managed to make it more annoying than leveling the new Meta gun in wz after vanguard dropped.

Notice how all the battlepass/blueprint weapons are "Pro Tuned", but you can't examine the tuning? Yeah, they're hiding that info on purpose so you can't see the tuning sliders and then re-create that weapon tune without paying for the blueprint or the battlepass. If you want the tune, pull out your wallet and buy it. Just another way to monetize every aspect of your Call of Duty experience.

    Am actually glad that I was doing this before you mentioned it because I see the graph change as I move the slider and most of the time some putting it at a certain point would have the graph have a better change than just moving it all the way to the side.

    Absolutely insane amount of patience and work bro... I wish everyone understood the complexity of the tests you're performing. You NEED to be paid significantly for this kind of work. You are basically reverse engineering what a team of expert game developers created with no map or key... Insane! Keep it up if you can but if you can't I TOTALLY feel you!

    Terrific video. The most important part of this video was when you actually showed, that adding 100% of the tune value, does not take into account the curve value added to the slider (as it's tuned)! Liked, Subscribed.

    TGD is such an underrated channel. Same as the work that it's put together from Tony to present all this true game data. Really hope that at some point people will not just appreciate the work but also the quality of info he shares. Really hope the channel gets more attention. Thanks for the info Tony!

    thank you for making this video. I was so confused at first. I figured out alot of this just by playing. lots of time in shooting range. but basically sliding it all the way isn't the best choice. I did all this through feel and shooting and shooting but weapon tuning is pretty complex. thanks again it was good to see some numbers even if I didnt understand them.
