got a bit unlucky with the grumbles not getting stuck during the first phase of the fight, but thankfully 3 marble suits were more than enough so I was fine

I tried this strategy. Took many rollbacks, experiments and attempts but eventually I killed Bee queen (my first bq solo kill, actually). Here is what you need to know about this strategy before actually using it:
The layout of walls in this video should be repeated block by block. If you make that corridor shorter - grumbles will attack you even if they are stuck. Make it longer - they will be less likely to get stuck.
Moleworms must be asleep through the entire fight. When they are awake, they go underground and can't get the BQ stuck. This means that the whole fight is ruined if this happens.
Moleworms are awake at evening and night, asleep during daytime.
If you use Pan flute during evening or night - they will wake up pretty soon (author of this vid said that it's around 20 seconds). You can use flute ~ 10-15 seconds before night ends.
4 minutes (which is how long day lasts in this video) is barely enough to kill Bee Queen with a fresh ham bat without a damage multiplier. So you might want to start the fight right before the night ends, or when your daytime is longer than 4 minutes.
If you use pan flute in the middle of fight, grumble bees will not be stuck the moment they wake up and will hit you few times. That is really bad if you are short for armor
If you are speedrunning and use blue mushrooms for healing - remember that they drain sanity, as well as Queen herself. It's fine if you take some cooked green mushrooms to restore sanity quickly.
You can kinda tell, but still: 3 marble armors and 5 helmets is the absolute minimum for this fight.
When Bee queen is dead, grumbles are still an issue. Here he uses a pan flute to escape the box. You might want to do the same thing. Or break the wall near you while they are still stuck. If you don't feel save killing grumble bees by yourself, you might want to run away as really far until they despawn. A lot of loot from Bee Queen will fall into the boxes with moleworms, so you totally want to get back after you are done with grumbles.
If you are playing Wes or Wendy, this will obviously take more time (around 5-6 minutes). Day lasts this long only at summer if I'm right. You'll have to take care of that. If you are playing Wigfrid or Wolfgeng, obviously, you will need less time.
I did this as Wilson on day nine. The only world settings that I changed was amount of butterflies and bee queens (latter didn't help at all, found her only on day seven). Did many rollbacks because of not knowing these details.
But the strategy is currently completely valid, and, as I think, this is the best strategy for a solo kill of Bee queen, since it doesn't require Wolfgang, Wendy, or a huge amount of late game resources.
I love this strategy, but it is a bit trickier than it seems from this video. Hope this helps you.
NOTE: The strat got patched after WX rework, so grumbles don't get stuck anymore. You can still use moleworms and abuse grumbles pathfinding, but not like in this strat

Just wondering, how did BQ get pinched in that corner and not being able to fly out? I thought her sprite size is just 2x2 tiles wide, how does she get blocked by two moleworms spaced diagonally 4 by 3 tiles apart?
moleworms have much bigger collision than other mobs such as beefalo for some reason
Just checked if this strategy can be used with Abigail to replace the boat strategy. It can't: Abigail kills moleworms for some reason.

I actually wonder, what will happen if you place a third moleworm in that corridor? Will that make grumbles get stuck faster or will they just move it, or will it make them go around it, making the whole thing worse?
grumbles are unaffected by moles

I love this strat, it looks so doable for everyone. Maybe I need a stack of blue/green mushroom but thats not hard. The pan flute is OP and why not use it if you are a newbie ? The marble armor is expensive but kind of garanteed if you mine the wooden thing, and when you do not need to move it works so well.

Could you explain how to get BQ and the bees got stuck by the moleworms and how they are stuck? Also how on earth did you discover this? BTW close call tho, only had 73.5 HP left with that last marble suit, 1 more hit by BQ and it's gone
this is an old strat that is mostly popular in asia, I simply improved the design as much as I could to use it in a speedrun

I try that method but bee queen pass the mole after 2nd phase, and it ruined all strategy.
Why is that happen?
you need correct positioning + the moles must be asleep

I dont understand why the grumbles do that, I know they try to avoid flying over walls but they should be able to fly around the moleworm there?
Look at the construction more carefuly: there aren't any other gaps in the wall between moleworms
Does this still work? It seems new patch made Grumble bees able to fly over walls at the entrance of the maze.

@@guille6785 This method is not reliable at all, i tested it 10 times in a row and bee queen can slip out of the cage even in day light with moles sleeping, grumble bees dont always get stuck, sometimes they can hit you 1 at a time moving in and out of the cage entrance. i was able to kill her 2 times where theis stratagie worked somewhat, 4 times she sliped out at low hp, and the rest of the times the bees were bullying me even trough that gap. Oven method has been somewhat patched put, is there any way to make this method more reliable ?

Killing bee queen in around 4 minutes without any damage multipliers ar allies? This is actually really fast for this boss, you definitely didn't fight bosses with this much HP.

@@vNill Bee Queen won't run from you while you're on a boat.
It messes up her AI in some way so that she doesn't randomly go somewhere and instead stay on you the whole fight.
