If the 49ers get rid of Purdy they'd be like the Chargers getting rid of Drew Brees because his shoulder was banged up. Good luck watching him succeed somewhere else I'm sure that won't come back to haunt you.
I don't understand this argument about paying Purdy. Well Daniel Jones got paid 40 million, Tua got paid 55. Do any of those teams have a shot of even making the superbowl, probably not even the playoffs. If 1 team makes a mistake, you just do the same thing? This season was a great view of how Purdy looks like without all his weapons, which he will be without if he gets paid 55. He threw crucial picks that lost them games.
Have you FORGOTTEN Trey Lance? Shanahan picked him and gave up a HAUL to get him and even HE couldn't make him good. Purdy's proven. Anybody else isn't. Brad Holmes said often, when people wanted Jared Goff gone, 'It's a lot easier to get WORSE at QB than it is to get BETTER.'

These are worth listening to about football anytime... except for on Channel 5 when they spend half the time talking about how to pronounce english words or giving deliberately facile observations about the game because they disregard the fact that many of us Brits who choose to stay up till 4am have actually watched more ball than the average US viewer. Sometimes they eat ice cream in sweat pants and squabble about it or do chair dancing. Its genuinely surprising everytime MJD or Bridget appears on another show and are the excellent pundits they are given all the s**t they talk on Ch 5. Total wasted opp, even tho they have fewer ad breaks, somehow the content they provide is more annoying so i tend to watch a youtube channel now and ignore Channel 5. Someone's probably telling them both to act like this or failing to help them with the show prep either way get somebody to let you be the pundits you are elsewhere on the network, or if its just going to be 'banter coverage' majorly upgrade the bants its tragic atm.

Don't watch it next year then , many of us love MNF on Channel 5 . Having it advert free each Monday is also a bonus .
