What was your ground balance on there’s no point running 0 on wet sand, i usually have tracking on with wet sand and beach 1 makes a load of difference it’s a lot better than beach 2 give it a try I bet it would hit that gold ring. I don’t like the 15” on wet sand think the 11” is more punchy.
I own the TDI , I'm very fortunate that the majority of the California beaches are very clean. All metal mode is necessary because in most cases you'll walk a long way without hearing a beep . I also have the CTX, I've found the TDI to be the better of the two when detecting the beach. Thanks for the video . Big Mex Detects wishes you luck
Won't be disapointed. the TDI BH is a ring master. Something about hearing the signal, once you get it, you know. I have an equinox 800, info overload with the VDI and sounds. Finally stopped looking at the VDI and concentrated on sound. Doing much better now. Took Awhile to get over that hump. However, Equi finds more coins than rings.
This gent should redo this test, after he learns the TDI BH. He was fumbling quite a bit with the controls, and not setting it correctly.@@360.Outdoors.Videos
VLF vs Pulse detector, not much of challenge. The Pulse detector is always going to go deeper. Compare Pulse to pulse or VLF To VLF. Like the TDI vs Sea Hunter that would be more of a competition. I have had many Pulse detectors and the reason I use a VLF ( Excalibur ) is so I don't have to dig all the iron on the beach. Don't get me wrong, The TDI is a great detector.
@@Fynediving I belive they are different. FBS- Full Band Spectrum, simultaneously transmits multiple VLF - Variable low frequencies. In short, a Pulse induction sends a short burst of current which forms a brief magnetic field resulting in a sharp electrical spike

The equinox is still clearly showing that there is a target there. I own an equinox, and I dig all those signals at the beach. It can't cut through the salt and minerals to get a clear picture, and give you a clean tone with a target ID, like it would in regular ground, when the targets are deep at the beach. That's why when you're at the beach, you dig it all. That being said the tdi clearly gives you a clean tone with the ground balance off, but you have no idea the conductivity of the target. Conclusion: Both machines hit the ring, but, with both machines you have no idea what the target is.
You will make the difference and at least know if it is a Pulltab or gold with the TDI . Gold has more amplitude and a softer sound than aluminum . You will learn to make the difference between silver and a normal coin . Iron is easy to recognize. You always have to do your audio anslysis at the end of your detecting range just after the very faint sound . Then you will hear the difference and have a good audio information . This will cost you one year of learning . Train your ear at home with exercises . Do them again and again . You will nail this and be the king of the beach after this . Happy hunting .

Wet sand nothing beats a pi personally I use a cscope 4pi very easy to use , its super sharp very deep and there only around £260 new I've found several gold rings with mine I've got a equinox 800 as well and the pi kills it on the beach
Clark Fox I found your comment very interesting.I was thinking about the csope 4pi.When you say the cscope kills the equinox that's pretty amazing. So how does the cscope kill the equinox?Do you mean the cscope will pick up targets on the beach that the equinox doesn't?
The thing with a pi is it doesn't have any discrimination as such , I've used the cscope 4pi for several years and had lots of good finds, Both gold and silver rings, I have 2 mates with them as well and they have not done well at all with them , personally I think the secret with any detector is to learn it , But I always use big padded headphones to cut out all surrounding noise, Then I can listen to what the detector is saying, I listen for short sharp 2 way signals , And from the sharpness of the tone I can offen tell a good from bad target . The equinox is a good detector it's no wear near as deep as a pi ,And I find it a bit fragile, I tend to use the equinox on my farm permissions and my deus on contaminated sites . I only use a pi on wet beach ,Most detectors will work ok on dry sand .
You mean Whites with 12" and ML with 15". ML should cream the Whites but it's a VLF so not a real contest. You did well with the Whites but you need a TDI PRO OZ with the 18V battery. Pulse machines are the go. In wet sand, you need to figure the GB a bit negative with as much gain as IS BEST ~and that could be back down a bit~ and the pulse delay around the middle. Even fiddling the frequency can get a difference between say $2 and a gold ring
The problem will pulse is no discrimination to speak of Like You said. Are used a garret ATX at the beach and was digging stuff super deep but too much stuff could not cover much space in a day
@@240x9 and your comparing to different tools your comparing a pulse machine to a vlf machine it's like a saw and a drill sometimes you need to saw things sometimes you need to drill things

LMAO this "test" is a joke. Nox IS hitting the ring. Why don't try it again on a less windy day.
Its not struggling u noob... the beep is louder if u moved it a few more feet back and forth. U barely moved the damn thing. The Nox got it EZ
If u ground balanced the nox the same as u did the whites it would of hit it no point running 0 GB on wet sand 😂😂😂😂
I never ran at 0 on wet sand ? I manually gbd it on beach mode.
When you do your video send it to me ;)
I usually use the tracking ground balance on wet sand as the minerisation changes so much u would need to manual gb all the time 👍
