      @MrPhilYelle ya, maybe in hindsight, but the Sens had to get extremely lucky after the fact for the Karlsson trade to be as much in out favor as it was... nobody expected that sharks 1st round pick to end up so high, everyone figured it would be a late 1st round pick... plus we got really lucky again with that pick at the draft with Timmy falling to 3rd

    Ottawa crushed this trade. Poor Boston. I guess knowing Boston couldn’t resign him lowered his value. Ullmark is a great goalie. And Ottawa got rid of that contract. Yes korpsicalo could bounce back in Boston. But as of today it’s an Ottawa win

    Im more surprised at this trade than anyone. Way to go Staios!! Got Ullmark and gave up a late first, Kastellic who wasnt working at all with this team, and dumped Korpisalo's contract...and still have Chychrun in the end. Huge win for Staios. Now to see if the rumor mill with Chychrun is either Philly or Winnipeg.

    I'm kind of confused, if you don't mind. I've been seeing the volumes of fans announcing the "steal" etc, but from what I see, Sens didn't acquire Swayman, they acquired Ullmark. Swayman has to get resigned, and where do you think the Bruins are going to find the money for Swayman?? Before I announce my opinion of the winner of this trade, better make sure Sens really got the good end of the trade. Sens give away a first round draft pick, eat 1/4 of Korpisalo's annual salary and Sens lose Kastelic, only for 1 year of Ullmark's future. Why does this remind me of how many other goalies that Sens brought on board?

    • @sully_99
      @sully_99 3 месяца назад

      They got a top 10 goalie and got out of a terrible contract in Korpisalo. 25th is boston's own pick and it probably would've costed that too dump Korpisalo and then Kastelic is a fringe 4th liner.

    • @jackconrad2667
      @jackconrad2667 3 месяца назад

      It’s because of korpsacalo. That contract was terrible for the senators. And Boston ate it. Yes ullmark may leave. But Ottawa had a better chance of signing than Boston. Ottawa got a massive upgrade to goaltending while Boston get a downgrade. And Boston has to figure out what to do with korpsicalos contract

    • @jackconrad2667
      @jackconrad2667 3 месяца назад

      The only saving grace is that it’s Boston. It’s possible that Korp has a bounce back season and ullmark was lifted up by Boston. Which would turn this trade upside down. But most likely not.

      They wouldn't have gotten this deal done if it was 7th overall.
      Ottawa had to convince Ullmark to wave his no trade. Also waiting for every other prospect buyer to essentially get a goalie didn't help.
