- Psalm 26 shares themes with many other Psalms, but we can note that despite the danger of evil associates, David remained confident that he would not slip, and would securely stand in an even place.
Three ways Psalm 26 points to Jesus are described as well.

Psalm 26:1-8. Today is August 31, 2023. And on this day, let us pray for those struggling to find hope.
Lord, Your greatness cannot be described. You are fully aware of every word I will ever say. You know the future in detail - my future as well as everyone else's! You precede me, paving the way before me, watching out for me. And You also follow me - You are my rear guard! You always watch my back and make sure I’m safe. You are all the army I will ever need. None can circumvent Your divine protection. Thank You, Lord, for watching out for me - even when I fail to watch out for myself sometimes. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.✝️🛐
Love your series of Psalms dear brother. Best part is finding out how Jesus is referred to in all these Psalms. Thanks a lot!
Judge me is quite different than vindicate.
Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity:
I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide. Ps. 26:1
Thank you for your teaching!! God bless you, Pastor Guzik !!
You are very welcome
This Psalm probably wrote by David during his exile living among the Canaanites.
Thank you for the enduring words.
HE seems to say them all , ' Hoot at me if you will : seek to trip me up as you all , and in him I shall still stand my ground, for, blessed be his name, notwithstanding every attempt of the enemy to throw me down, my foot stands in even place, and in the congregation will I bless the lord. '"
Thank you for explaining these verses for us.

Yes ,we must spend rime in God's Word and presense and stay close to Him .Our confidence is only in God alone . We have to pour out our hearts completely in agony. Some can be examined with God's help and strength of asking for his help to deliver us from the wickedness around us ,so we will not seek our own flesh and power . We need him to vindicate us .We must constantly ask God to help us meditate on His Word and to spend time only praising Him and thanking Him for who He is and all He does !
To pray and ask God to help us press in and not o.nly read the Bible but spend time to let God examine the condition of our hearts , minds and souls .
To ask God to help us and teach us His ways .It is agony to pray and seek God in every day life because our flesh is constantly tempted . By tv by people in traffic ,at work, at school at the grocery store.,to retaliate or vindicate our selves and think itis justified to snap back .We gotta find godly friendships . We become like those we are friends with . We often spe n d time alone becuz of this ! There is no best friend like Jesus!
Amen for it is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance as we draw nearer in intimate relationship by the Holy Spirit power of Jesus Christ our Savior and God.

Got an idea about verse 6: The phrase "go about your altar" might mean something like "occupying" or moving about in--as inhabiting. Think of "going about one's business" or "she went about the house checking for dust." Just a thought. Anyway, thanks for the excellent teaching.
