What about the limits of neurostimulation? I was on the Occipital Nerve Stimulator, and I used the device at it's FDA max of 20 milliamps. My migraines could easily surpass the device. I had to have two batteries and hot swap them to keep the device running because it wasn't designed to be used how I needed it. What then? And how can it be that I can be in more pain than that much current? Any higher and the nerves start to cook, literally. But on my pain scale, 20 miliamps was a 6, and not even that painful, just tense. I amazed the doctors being able to carry on a conversation with the device on full blast, as if nothing was going on.
