Some FACTS:
If the Sims 4 was laggy as hell, no one would play it.
The Sims 3 WAS laggy as hell, and people not ONLY play it to this day, but say it was one of the best games they've ever played.

I hope we get 64-bit Sims 3 for PC.
If we do, the lag will probably be reduced for many players since the game will no longer be limited to 4GB of RAM.
But if no one plays sims 4 why do Sasha and many others put out Sims 4 Videos out every day?
Sims 4 lags because of all the cc and mods needed to make it even comparable to TS3, so I no longer play it lol

ikr?! I hate the loading screen in sims 4, and i have tons of mods and cc so the loading screen takes even longer
right?! and not only do you have a loading screen you can only control the person that you make leave. Like let's say you have a household of 3 if you make 1 person leave you can only control that 1 person unless you switch control over to the other people. also whenever I play, if I send one person out and leave the other 2 in their house any tasks I had them start before i had the other person leave would be canceled and they start doing random shit that i never had them start
it would be okay if you had a loading screen only when you left the neighbourhood, but you have to go through one to literally go to your neighbours house??!! so frustrating smh...

let’s be clear, none of the packs were bad but generations, supernatural, seasons, pets, and university were all MUST haves for me. those and the incredibly underrated world adventures! breaks my heart how often people forget about that one :((

The sims 3 had bad graphics so sim 4 could have slightly better graphics.
It’s like the older sibling failed all the classes so the younger could get a D and have the parents proud.

honestly, I played the sims when I was 12 (I'm 18 now) and only had two expansion packs which were Seasons and Late Night, those were such good times all though it took 30 minutes to save a game I DID NOT CARE. the sims 3 had so much dept and gameplay, I think I would've loved Generations and Into The Future or Supernatural
I also only had 2 expansion packs-- supernatural and generations. They were SO GOOD. I think I had over a thousand hours on that game

Back then 2 Sims 3 expansion packs would let me feel satisfied for years and now not even all of the Sims 4 expansion packs together make me feel any content. It's so sad to be honest.

You know I JUST realized why I always feel like "Why does everyone gush over Generations in Sims 3?" but I JUST realized... I came into Sims 3 a few packs in and Generations was one of the packs I got WITH my game. So I never played the Sims 3 without Generations. I didn't know what it was like without it.

We can talk about how ambitions came with a butt load of new careers, the consignment shop AS WELL as a new world while Get To Work only came with three careers, shops, and 4 lots in a neighborhood no one touches...
Ambitions came with 1 new world, 3 new skills, 5 professions, 1 new career and change to 1 old career, self employment, 8 lifetime wishes, 9 lifetime rewards, 6 new traits, 1 new death, earthquakes, bake sells, consignment shops, junkyards, laundry, simbots, and motorcycles. Get to work doesn't even come close to comparing.
It's so depressing to go back and look at how much was included in one expansion pack in ts3 and compare with how little we get in an expansion pack today
The sims 3 was my first sims game. I Miss It. Favorite expansion packs were, generations, island paradise, into the future, pets and university
I used to play The Sims FreePlay on my tablet while waiting for The Sims 3 to load 😅
I remember when back in the day I only had supernatural as an expansion pack for the sims 3. It still was able to keep me entertained and occupied for hours (now I have all of the expansion packs and I love how lively my sims worlds are and I can pretty much do everything I want)
Every time I see trailers for the Sims 3, it makes me realise how much stuff we actually got in them and how empty the Sims 4 packs are...
Yes, that was the intro of an open world. And I loved it. I still miss it. Telling your sim to go for a jog, and they actually did. Not having to load just to visit a neighbor.
But man, the expansion I really ended up loving a lot was the Into The Future Expansion. And the Pets expansion. Also World Adventures, cause I'm a weeaboo and I loved being able to learn karate.
I just started back on ts3. I missed open worlds too much! I am adding one pack back at a time so I can enjoy them all
I'm playing seasons and ambitions rn. Those two are my favorites! Then generations of course
I never really had a lot of problems running my sims 3 game. Even after I had all of the expansions which I of course always had all of them running it wasn't ever that bad

I play Sims 3 all the time, so all this stuff is fresh in my mind. Like, I knew that that first trailer that played was not the first one because it has Daylight by Matt and Kim in the background, and the Simlish version of that song came with Sims 3 World Adventures. Speaking of Simlish songs, the Sims 3 ones are TOP TIER. Double Vision by 3OH3 is one of my favorites. Animal by Neon Trees, Shark in the Water, Speakers Going Hammer, , Time Bomb (played in one of the Generations trailers I think). Bangers. There's always so much to do and see in TS3, so many careers and gameplay parts I always wanna try next. Like, I did not get enough of the horses or some of the Ambitions professions.

I started with the sims 1 (mum had it sitting in a cupboard which I had stumbled upon at a young age) and then when the sims 4 came out I gave that a try, I knew sims 3 existed but never gave it a shot until I played sims 4 for a year or two and two this day I prefer sims 3 over the sims 4.

Horse girl here, I was so obsessed with Sims 3 Pets! I made so many cool farm houses and barns omg!
Met Sims 2 at my friend's at 2005 or so. Since then craved for this game. In 2007 I finally got my gaming capable computer and started playing this game. However, it bothered me so much that towns in Sims 2 are so small and you can't see a lot of objects around your house and in most cases it is surrounded by nothingness. And also, objects that you could see were of such a low quality! And Sims 2 worlds and environment felt so... Flat and empty.
And then I started seeing Sims 3 trailers. It was everything I wanted Sims 2 to be.
To this day I still play Sims 3.
I need to try a "Stay always inside" challenge in the sims 3. But they get a moodlet for never going outside so I might need to get that sim the "hates outdoors" traits
EA hid them deep into RUclips in the hopes that you would forget how great the franchise once was before they regressed with the sims 4.
Sims 3 used to be The. Thing. I lived for. (Also can we talk about how dressed up Sasha looks today? She didn't forget lipstick, she's wearing a fancy shmancy necklace, solid color low hanging top, she do be looking fineeee you go girll!)
Island paradise and university were my absolute favorites. Can we PLEAAASEEE get a sims 3 let's play?
Everyone gives Sims Medieval a bad rap. It was my introduction the the Sims universe, and I STILL freaking love it. I wish they had been able to add more than just one expansion to the game. Sims Medieval and Sims 3 will always be the absolute best Sims games for me.

but yeah in sims 3 pets had a special way to go to the afterlife. The grim reaper would either pet the dog and throw a ball into the afterlife (a portal in all honesty), and cats and i think small dogs would jump into the grim reapers arms? Been a long time since i allowed my pets to die on ts3. I usually get too attached.
The pet-cleaning machine is the Pet Hygiene-ator. It cleans pets of fleas, protects them from fleas for i think 24 - 72 hours and is a lifetime aspiration reward for pets. Same with the Aging Bowl (i can't remember the actual name, but, it's a food bowl that if your pets ate from it, it'd reset them to the start of their current lifestage. A must have for me since i play with pets based off my actual pets (including ones i no longer have, aka ones who have already passed on).
The list of pets from the sims 3 included;
Birds (Cockatiels, macaws, falcons, hawks and i think another kind?)
bugs (of many different types. Butterflies, beetles, bees, ants and the nanites introduced in Into The Future.)
Fish (again, many types.)
Snakes, Turtles, lizards (brown snake, coral snake, green tree boa, and some others), (red eared slider, and a like.. painted roof turtle or something like that), and then a few lizard species.
Cats, Dogs, Horses (plus the rare unicorn variant)
and actually Ghost variants of the above.
If you had a cat, your cat could go out and hunt and actually (with a mod, since by base game it won't fill hunger much) live off the things they hunt. My cats however usually end up bringing me rare beetles that i can sell. Pretty neat.

8:03 the expansion pack itself wasn't more buggy than any other EP - the world was glitchy. So for anyone who doesn't have this pack, don't be afraid to buy it because of what you've heard: you can fix the world and you can use all of its features in other worlds.

Pets and Supernatural! I also had the mini one of Dragon Valley that I purchased from the Sims 3 Online part. I couldn’t afford many packs back then in my jobless high school years haha

Favorite pack (if you don't count those basic needed packs, like seasons, pets, generations) was that world adventure one, it was risky but all worth it. Had to learn the hard way what happens, if you get a snake bite and don't do the curing thing in time (which was not simple). 😂

Sims 4- I have amazing graphics and runs smooth. You were just basiclly a big glitch
Sims 3- I may have glitches and bad graphics but I made up for it with content and tones of small details that everyone loves.
Lol TS3 has thousands times better graphics than crapy cartoonish mobile game graphics of TS4. TS3 textures are at much higher resolutions.
Also TS4 is full of bugs and glitches.

My ultimate favorite expansion was supernatural it was dope from create a sim to an actual gameplay i just missed these good old days
Best game of the series by far. Yeah, it ran like crap until I got a gaming computer but it's the game I played more than any other. It had so much gameplay, SO many things to do, and a ton of improvements from earlier games. I mean even need decay is a lot better tuned so you had time to do everything you wanted. Traits gave the Sims way more personality and moodlets gave me a much better idea of how they were feeling. Open world made me feel like my Sim was part of something bigger and I didn't have to do rotational gameplay to see the world shifting and other Sims just living their lives. The only things I miss are the career opportunities and vehicles, some of the deeper gameplay, and unpredictability of Sims 2 and the gallery and build mode features of Sims 4. That's it. Sims 3 would be a perfect game with those features (assuming it wasn't buggy, but a lot of mods fix that and my gaming computer can finally run it really well).
Sims 3 just reminds us of how sims 4 expansion packs suck :(

Thanks to a mod I can now play island paradise without lag. And am happy. And even though many people didn't like the expansion, my favorite was into the future.

I didn't even have generations and didn't have babies in the Sims 3 because they looked like monsters (thanks cc) AND I STILL LOVE ITTTT! Still play it to this day.

The funny thing about Sims 3 is I know I had every pack and a lot of stuff from the store - but I don’t remember playing it. 🤔 My laptop broke every time I started it is the only thing I remember.
I never owned generations, but island paradise was THE BEST one for me hands down. Hotels were everything to me!
