If your opponent is running towards your tail, slap em with your tail while they still far cuz u will be able to do more damage to their head( you gotta take the advantage of you having the range)
nah unless you're a dip, DO NOT point your tail towards your opponent, *always* face them if possible Since the base of your tail is your weakspot, obviously the sauros are going to bite you there, so if you point your tail towards them you're just asking for 1k+ damage and insane bleed. Apato and brachi's 2nd attack (front attack) deal slightly more damage than the 1st one (tail whip), and you get less bleed if you get bitten anywhere else that isn't the base of your tail. I've survived many sauro encounters like this, i would only let them bite my neck/torso while using my RMB attack, always facing them. Another tip: If you can't watercamp try to get on the edge of a rock or something so the sauros can't bite your tail

This comment is being written after the sauro speed nerf. So, in my opinion Sauro VS Torvo isnt a debate. Torvo deals almost 2k dmg in a single hit. I dont care how good you are. That isnt a fair fight. So sauro being slower is just... Bad. Torvo can chase you down and once they do so youre dead. What can you do? Unless youre in a pack youre gonna get mauled. At least in my experience sauro cant do anything against torvo. I mean yeah it has more HP and better bleed. But the sheer force of a torvo makes me not think that its gonna work out for sauros. From the torvos perspective, the only time sauros have killed me is either when im low from a fight, mixpackers, huge packs, or im sleeping or resting and they destroy my entire health bar. Unless the fight is set up in a way to help the sauros the fight isnt balanced.
