Tsk tsk tsk. Green day?????? I mean i get it you're probably not too much into late 90's early 2000's skate punk. But this sounds nothing like early green day. Look up Milkshed, or My Big Wheel. Thats what this definitely sounds like.
Yeah this sounds nothing like Green Day... this is closer to 88 Fingers Louie, Pennywise, A Wilhelm Scream, early Rise Against, Propagandhi, or Ten Foot Pole. Nowhere near that Bay Area sound which was definitely more partial to the midtempos of emo, even early in the 90s with bands like Samiam and Jawbreaker.
kakashi66132: thats why they said it *KINDA* sounds like Green Day. Everyone has their own opinion. I think it kinda does sound like *REALLY* young Billie Joe Armstrong. Im not trying to take sides, Im just stating my own opinion.
Not everyone has a PhD in late 20th century California-area punk. Jesus. This definitely sounds like a few Green Day songs to any well-adjusted person who didn't literally grow up in that scene.
Saw these guys play SOMA in SD with Cigar back around 2000-2001 or so. They were so fucking good. I actually prefer their style here compared to Pierce the Veil. But that's just me. Thanks for to upload and the memories!
I never had the strength to force myself To listen to you I always did things my own way (on my own) And if I have the chance would Would I change myself, no I think I'm better off this way All alone, living my life on my own If you had the chance could you Stand up to show your anger Could you do this by yourself (on your own) And if the time to fight came could You stand by your name Without no one else’s help All alone. living your life on your Own
This them in hs mike and his brother and 2 others from mission bay hs. They acually grew up in national city hence the other song on this album called east 18th
wait...wait...ok. So, Mike said he didn't get his first drum kit until he was about 15, and I've seen him playing bass before on 5.9, so is he laying drums or bass on this? O.o
All these entry level punk plebs comparing this to green day. Jesus christ. There was literally a whole scene in the late 90's/early 2000's that has this sound, they called it skate punk. Look up Slick Shoes, Jerk Circus, Milkshed, Sick Of Change, etc. they fit more into that category. Old green day is dope, but it never fit into the skate punk category.
I don't have the cd, sorry. I don't even know if they released a hard-copy of these songs. But here's a link to one of the songs, go to the guy's channel and he has uploaded every song from the album: /watch?v=YtTbAPpJZEY
Im sensing a Green Day vibe here. Please shame me because i'm comparing them to Green Day. In my opinion I think that Green Day is better but that's only because I've known Green Day longer than Pierce The Veil. But remember its my opinion. You can have your own opinion and I will respect it.😄
It’s crazy how Vic was only 16 at this time and Mike was 15
OH MY GOD THEY KINDA SOUND LIKE A YOUNGER VERSION OF GREEN DAY IM CRYING

I’m old as shit because I remember jamming this when it first came out. Met these dudes in an AIM chat lol

Its cool that they embodied that punk sound because of the time period.

I never had the strength to force myself
To listen to you
I always did things my own way
(on my own)
And if I have the chance would
Would I change myself, no
I think I'm better off this way
All alone, living my life on my own
If you had the chance could you
Stand up to show your anger
Could you do this by yourself
(on your own)
And if the time to fight came could
You stand by your name
Without no one else’s help
All alone. living your life on your
Own
Drummer was always fucking sick
Why there's a picture of ptv, i mean, in that moment they was early time, without jaime and tony lmfao
It’s probably because there aren’t any pictures of this band lol
This them in hs mike and his brother and 2 others from mission bay hs. They acually grew up in national city hence the other song on this album called east 18th
I sense green day vibe lol mixed with rise against
more like earliest records of AFI.
Vic barely sounds like Himself
Sounds more like Billie Joe
Sounds alot more punk, i like it.
I just realized. If I was 8 when this came out.... that means vic was around 16 here. O_O
