It seems unlikely he would do that. And as guitarist myself, i can at least say that i'm personally extremely cautious about hurting my hands.
But tbh even tho i do think JD is falsely accused here, it's not impossible that he's a bit crazy and actually did cut his finger off himself. @@menamgamg He didn't do it and there is proof for it that can't be used in this trial unfortunately. In one of the audio tapes from Australia, right after the incident Amber is heard saying "sorry I didn't mean to cut it/hurt him what do i do?" to the securities after Johnny left to the hospital and they were searching for his missing fingertip. Recordings from Australia have other people's voices in them so a lot of evidence is left out sadly, but we know he did not do it himself. After she cut it, he did get very angry at everything she's been doing to him (basically driving him to the point of insanity, idk how he could even put up with a woman like her) so he wrote some words with his bloody finger on the walls.

Poor kid just chimed into the conversation his father was having simply because the topic aligned with his education and that psychotic woman bullied him to the point of tears. How heartless and vile does one have to be to cause such grief in a young and brilliant boy?? He did not deserve such horrendous treatment, I’d be appalled and furious if my partner treated my friend’s kid (or anyone really) in such a manner. @kyle I think it’s being used to show that Depp had certain feelings toward Heard that indicate he was capable of / in the mindset of being an abuser. If his texts weren’t so obviously hyperbolic, they might just be a good piece of evidence for Heard’s narrative.

We often call upon our friends when in time of need and often say derogatory things about our concerns in a private text message. JD was venting out to his friends. This is normal and very common practice.

Geez..my dad was diagnosed with schizophrenia and has narcissistic tendencies and does the EXACT same thing to my mom. He finds things to get irrate over (screaming, slamming, and throwing things) and then when my mom starts crying he tells her shes the one acting crazy. When she tries to leave the situation he'll guilt trip her or physically stop her from fleeing.
Narcissists can be seriously dangerous and I hope this case opens awareness to those situations, especially for men in this case

This is the first time a trial of any kind hooked me. The part about the guitar is absolutely true the fact that they even challenged that is hilarious to me.
I've never watched a court case. This has hooked me too. My heart just aches for justice for Johnny and his close ones.
You can watch her picking at her shirt and her demeanor. She is frustrated that she can't speak and frustrated at his conversation pace. You can tell she WANTS so badly to scream and scold him.

I have so much respect for Johnny Depp!! And I smiled when I heard he doesn't watch his own films. A real artist!! One of my passions is fiction writing, and after I finished my first novel I found I couldn't stand to read it because I thought of every possible word change or ideas I thought I should have included and so forth that made it unpleasant. It had been edited it seemed like a thousand times and yet each line on the page was me scrutinizing what I might have written differently if given the chance. I love writing, but I get why other writers,musicians, artists, and actors struggle to view or hear their own creative work. You are your own worst critic. Johnny is so humble and down-to-earth, just makes me appreciate him all the more. And will never forget all the beautiful things he did to make my late neighbor's daughter's last year on earth as kind as it could be. She was in the make a wish foundation and met with Johnny more than once. Hewett so far above and beyond to bring a dying teenager some joy. And he continued to check in with her mother after Laura passed away. He doesn't publicly talk about this because,he isn't after headlines or hubris. He's a genuinely kind man. I really hope he wins this case. But,I think in court of public opinion, I think he already has. I'm so sorry he has been so badly treated by so many. It's awful. I just wish I could thank Johnny personally for what he did for Laura. Such a good person.

I am still waiting to hear a recording from AH where she actually is being attacked by JD. All the recordings I have heard so far are about her whining/crying/complaining about his lack of reaction or leaving the room. It almost seems like there would be an argument and she only started recording when he was at his wits end so she could catch him transgressing.

I’m very curious to see how Amber’s testimony during this trial is going to compare with her deposition from several years ago. I want to see how she can explain some of the recordings where she is calling him a bad father, laughing at him like she’s possessed, belittling him, calling him a sellout from his first big series when he was 20 and essentially telling him how much bigger and better her roles were at that point in her life, and then mocking his age. It went all over the place and at the end of this one clip she leaves and then comes back and totally turns it around and starts acting like she cares. It really shows exactly what a evil witch that she is.

The number of times I have had to read the word 'evidences' during this trial. 🙄 Speaks volumes about the intelligence required to be a Johnny Depp fan forever. By the time I was five I knew better than to say 'teeths', 'sheeps' etc.
As someone who also struggled with a long term opioid addiction, even though I have been sober and clean for over 5 years now, it is really difficult to talk sometimes, or to find the right words smack dab in the middle of a sentence.. It's like your brain short circuits or forgets. But at least the added time it takes to talk allows us to sometimes use bigger vocabulary and paint prettier pictures with our words.
Me as well. For me though it’s more about memory. I feel that there’s literal holes in my memory. I constantly am saying “i forgot what i was going to say”, and it can be extremely frustrating. When he’s saying i forgot what movies i acted in or can’t remember the name of a magazine, some people might laugh at this or don’t believe it, it is 1000% true. I can only imagine the how hard it is to have to recount all these events from 6 years ago.

Can we please take note how busy heard is keeping herself throughout his testimony, writing notes, shuffling, drinking, glasses on/glasses of, passing notes etc- just non stop moving around. All for the purpose of distracting the jurors so their eye has to keep resting on her rather than having total focus on Depp.
She didn't even wear glasses until the day after Johnny first wore glasses when he took the stand. It's another one of her mimicking behaviors.
