      Thank you. I'm only at the early stages of working in motion so my vids are not too good yet. But, yeah the Carpe is amazing. With the adventure controller and it in your field of vision it makes life a lot easier. Even easier if you are already in the Android world.

    Great video thank you. I assume you can use it in Canada, US, Mexico?

      Yes, you can absolutely use it in N. America. OF course, you will need a SIM card in it or be able to hotspot from your cell.

      Hi David. Thank you for clearing that up. As an avid motorcyclist and photography enthusiast I am thoroughly enjoying your multi-media portrait series. My 5 foot 4 wife just started riding again after a 15 year hiatus. Her bike is G650GS. As you can imagine when I got to Tammy Lewin, A.K.A. Mind Body Moto Girl, I jumped out of my seat to show her. She is now an avid follower of her adventures. We live in Honduras and its too bad we missed her on her way down. Thank you again for the technical help and inspiration.

      @@Gushn Thanks for checking out the site!!! that is great to hear about your wife as well. In fact, I've photographed more than a few smaller female riders for the series and they are all as inspiring as the next. Check out the one on Megs_Braap or Ash Mhyre. Too bad you missed Tammy, she is a great person with such a positive attitude. Maybe I'll see you on the road someplace. David

    How is the vibration? Meaning can you see it down the road or is it jiggling around a lot ? What size is that table Carpe Iter ? Was wondering aobut Active 3 or 4 or 5 Galaxy and same apps that you use. Not sure best size either and how to mount on my Tiger 900 Rally Pro... Great video. Thanks !!!

      I have no issues with vibration, I use the Carpe holder which has rubber mounts. The unit sits tight without bouncing around at all. You would have to inquire as to how to mount it to your specific bike. Hope that helps.

      Did you consider another device like a tablet (Active Galaxy etc). YOu could have if you're not using the DMD2 software. I think yours has MORE NITS for brightness in the sun etc too.

      @@kee7678 I did not consider another one. I started using DM2 but after a while, I figured it was not really needed so I stopped using it. I love it and have been very happy with it for my needs.

    I have a similar set up on my Triumph Tiger 1200 rally, I just use my phone as a hotspot and tether to the device for Wi-Fi, however I do use DMD2 with downloaded maps on the device the Wi-Fi is only if I rarely use google maps

      Using the phone as a hotspot makes total sense! However, I have an old At&t plan that is cheap, and as a result, they don't offer hotspotting :(

      What mounts are you using? Vibration an issue seeing it? and in the sun? I have Tiger 900 Rally Pro, and wondering what system to get now...I go to Baja and all over SoCal etc.

      @@kee7678 i use a damped quadlock mount attached to my Garmin mount with 3d printed adapter, vibes are fine, the phone is a Samsung a34 with 1000 nits brightness and ip64 rated for waterproofness, it’s been great so far

    You don’t use DMD2????

    • @TheDavidGoldmanphoto
      @TheDavidGoldmanphoto 9 месяцев назад

      Nope, not since I realized it’s really only an app over the main unit. Sure, it looks cool but I found it better to just setup my home screen with the apps I’m most likely to use (Calimoto, Google Maps, I-overlander) vs being forced to look at apps I don’t really use. I should also add that I was not able to sync my bikes settings(RPM,speed,temperature etc) with the DM2 so it seemed like a waste. If I was able to sync then I might have been a bit more inclined to stick with DM2.
