I would love to see a Spectraflame metallic orange. Also, you should do a white one just to show us how enamel works out. Still trying to figure out how to paint the side of my garage.
for a plain jane resto, came out sweet and better than factory finish!! - how about for the next one do a GT40 tribute, and paint it in the gulf colors orange and baby blue
Another beauty of a paint job. Light blue would be a nice choice for a J-Car, white is so sad a choice. BTW, has anyone tried replicating the rear engine cover on a J-car, what are challenges?
Ermagherd! What a difference! I think pretty well any colour would look cool--except for white (kinda dull) or pink. Even all black would work--especially with either a very high gloss or a sparkle effect.
That car polished up great! Definitely a spectra-flame candidate. I checked my Ford J Car. I only have one. It has the louver type vents on the engine hood and the bottom doesn’t come half way up the sides like the one in you video.
Metallic flake Red and Gloss black. Those would be my votes for future colors. The pure metal chrome (with just a clear coat) might not look so bad like other people have suggested. The metal on this looked very nice polished.
red, blue, green, yellow, orange, gold, any of the colors listed would set off the design well. oh and great job on this car. better than what Mattel would ever do.
When I was a kid, Hot Wheels cars would change color in icy water. I remember one I had that was a taxi at room temp, but it would become a police car when dipped. Do they make THOSE paints for restorations/customs? You could do some cool sh*t with those.
There was another company that did super tiny little plastic cars that'd do that too, they also made ones that had little light-up headlights (which for back then was a marvel in and of itself!)
I love the Ford GT40 J car! Not much is known about it, but it looks awesome! I would do the polish thing, then paint it white again, just so it’s cleaner. I would also make it lower(some how) and swap rubber tires on it. Lastly, do the headlights. They are actually above the pointy parts on the front of the car, Hot wheels just didn’t put them there.
Personally I reserve purple for hot rods but it turned out nice (put a number decal on it it’s a race car) and I like the extra detailing (painted lights) another fun to watch video 👍🏻
Love the "Spectraflame" purple, it's Ssooo purple, makes me think of the seventies. Here in Australia, about thirty years ago we used to be able to get our taps plated in "Black Chrome", it was different to the standard chrome, and had to be used in the right setting to look good, but when it did look good it looked "Schmickey Duck!" I think that model car, polished up with that metal polish then given a "Spectra" Black paint job would appear pretty much like our old "Black Chrome". Your violent rumble had me looking for some chocolate though. I liked it! Carlos.
Nice resurrection DR! I’m not a big fan of the white either and I’d have been fine with spec. pink, but purple is cool. I wouldnt mind see you do a J car with a spectraflame two-tone. Probably me just being my weird self, but that’s my humble opinion. Thanks for all the great videos and your hard work. 👍🏼🤘🏼😎
I dig the the Spectraflame!! Watching you got me doing model cars and I’ve been wanting to try to see if I can get a silver enough base to get Spectraflame to work on plastic?
This is a great looking paint job. Wonderful to look at. My only issue, and it is not directed at you but rather restorers in general, is that I can hardly ever see the interior through the glass. I know most cars are dark inside but is there any way to make it ahow up better? With this blue windshield you could have painted the interior bright yellow to make it appear like a green contrast to the purple exterior.
Gulf light blue and orange would look really cool too 👍👍👍
I think I'm the next one you should just polish it to a mirror finish, and then clear coat over that. That looked really sweet in the bare metal.
A custom in gulf colours would super cool. ❤️
That purple looks sweet but I think I'd have gone for Wyndex or whatever it was. Like a cyan/electric blue
What a beaut! I’d like to see an antifreeze green or an orange one maybe. Light blue would be cool.
Antifreeze green would be sick!
no need to explain your self brother we love the channel 🤘🤘
Love to see one of these in a period-correct racing livery.
I would love to see a Spectraflame metallic orange. Also, you should do a white one just to show us how enamel works out. Still trying to figure out how to paint the side of my garage.
Orange would look sweeeeeet
Orange does look pretty good on them I've got 4 OG orange ones
orange with a copper metalflake would be pimp.
Yeah I'd like to see this as well. I like the idea of showing the white process also.
BaremetalHW just redid one of these in spectraflame orange I think
Again, awesome! First J car of the RAINBOW! Now do blue, green, yellow, orange, red, and pink!
I loved how the car looked in chrome before painting, I just love chrome lol
This car was one of the very few redlines that I actually liked, the color you chose was simply perfect. Great Job!
I'd like to see a blue color one one of them, that purple looks awsome
I believe I had a anti-freeze green J car back in the day .. like all of my cars .. long gone.
When I was a kid all I remember is the White Ford J. It's great to see one in different colour. Seeing one with the hood still attached is a bonus!!!
Great video!
Smart ! Can't get enough of a good old spectraflame resto video no matter how many you do !
for a plain jane resto, came out sweet and better than factory finish!! - how about for the next one do a GT40 tribute, and paint it in the gulf colors orange and baby blue
That purple is so nice, great job on the polish and paint it turned out awesome 👍👍😊
Aqua would be my pick. A deep Blue second.
Another beauty of a paint job. Light blue would be a nice choice for a J-Car, white is so sad a choice. BTW, has anyone tried replicating the rear engine cover on a J-car, what are challenges?
Yes Yes 1:18 scale can't wait. Thanks, I've always been partial to a burgundy/red car.
Spectra Red. A translucent White over Deep Flakes could be nice. This one is Sue Wheat !
Thanks for sharing...
Spectraflame!!! All the colors of the rainbow!!
Looks great. Blue with Shelby stripes would look great.
I'll have to check my white one, for the rear fender markings. One of my childhood favorites
The spectraflame color is definitely starting to grow “all over my body!” Fabuloso
Do a light blue and orange Gulf Ford GT paint scheme, with decals!
Love the J,s. I have a very nice original early white enamel hidden hinge with louvers. No stickers. Do them all!,
I would play with some different shades of blues, but you're correct the purple looks great on everything.
Ermagherd! What a difference! I think pretty well any colour would look cool--except for white (kinda dull) or pink. Even all black would work--especially with either a very high gloss or a sparkle effect.
Go with the rainbow.
The j-car looks great with spectraflame.
That car polished up great! Definitely a spectra-flame candidate.
I checked my Ford J Car. I only have one. It has the louver type vents on the engine hood and the bottom doesn’t come half way up the sides like the one in you video.
That looks great. Red. Antifreeze. Pink.
I wouldn’t mind seeing one in pink. I would really like to see you go completely custom on one. Love the channel.
All the colors. You make them all look cool!
Love the Spectraflame over enamel. Bet Jimmy thinks the same way. Love that purple
Metallic flake Red and Gloss black.
Those would be my votes for future colors.
The pure metal chrome (with just a clear coat) might not look so bad like other people have suggested. The metal on this looked very nice polished.
I'd love to see a British Racing Green. On that or any car honestly, it's my favorite color on a car.
Maybe do a pink one for Breast Cancer Awareness? Also an orange one with spooky decals? Just some random suggestions.
Katanis a brilliant suggestion! Respects all the mums, daughters and sisters that bought and played with cars as well.
Amazing colour, great build , a nice orange would be nice.
Spectreflame over enamel any day bruh! Dont care what you do honestly I'm gonna watch. its not the cars its the commentary and personality. 🍺🍺#blubs
Such satisfying videos to watch, to the point that they are therapeutic. Nice Ride!
You can't go wrong with those dark old green colors
That looks awesome!! would love to see a high gloss black with white interior.
Love the little thumbnail bottom right.
I’d like to see that black with the silver over it looks like a dark Chrome I think it would look sweet with that body lines
Pearl white metalic with blue spectra flame stripes, hell yeah 🤘👍
Love the restoration videos. Can't go wrong with antifreeze.
Black with purple ghost flames. OOOOOOOH, Hell yeah!!!!!!
That casting begs for the wild colors and special effects (color shift etc)
I really like Blue! Turned out nice.
Sweet. A dark green would be nice too.
red, blue, green, yellow, orange, gold, any of the colors listed would set off the design well. oh and great job on this car. better than what Mattel would ever do.
White with the cosmic pearl over it would be pretty neat or at least in my mind it looks cool.
Looks gorgeous. I think a root beer spectra flame colour would look pretty spectacular.
I definitely like the spectra flame colors. I would love to see a hot pink J cars.
Pink would cool
Blue looks fine . Dark Hunter/Forest Green would look good ( I know it's not spectraflame ) with yellow stripes . Thanks for posting .
Definitely a better choice than white! So pimp can't wait for the 1:18

@@AsAboveISoBelow I think Hot Wheels made those too: toysfromthepast.blogspot.com/2013/05/281-hot-wheels-mini-automagic-micro.html
That color looks great. Would like to see one in Blue. 👍
I kinda like the bare metal polished. A for blue like a gt40 with a stripe would be cool too!
Digging the spectraflame. If you do another one use that sweet expensive sparkle on one!
Love the purple one, make one in Pink, would look pretty nice.
That purple is sick!
I love the Ford GT40 J car! Not much is known about it, but it looks awesome! I would do the polish thing, then paint it white again, just so it’s cleaner. Sweet color, candy blue would look great
Awesome build. Id love to see one in rootbeer
Love the "Spectraflame" purple, it's Ssooo purple, makes me think of the seventies.

Carlos.
Love the Spectra flame, Windex blue or antifreeze green would also have been cool.
Definitely Spectraflame - great color for that car as well
Yes it did turned out sweet......great job my friend
I would definitely put a racing stripe on it and maybe one of those circles with the numbers in the middle on the hood.
Yesssss my favorite. I have I think 72 jcars in my collection
Good! Beautiful restoration.
Irredesant white would be lovely! X
Fablous paint job looks the biz. I'd like see one in Teal Green i think that colour would work.
Absolutely top work. Thanks.
Lime green, with a 70s style heavy metal flake.... Or purple done like that too. 😁👍
Pimp!! Candy orange would look good I reckon. Good job Austin 😉👍
Nice resurrection DR! I’m not a big fan of the white either and I’d have been fine with spec. pink, but purple is cool. I wouldnt mind see you do a J car with a spectraflame two-tone. YAAY!! Bring on the 1:18
fantastic car, thanks so much !!!! any spectraflame color over enamel !!!!
A nice Spectra red with a gloss black bottom with the redline wheels would look saweet
Looks really good. I'd would absolutely love to see rootbeer brown. It's always been my favorite spectra flame color.
YASSSSS!!!!
I got soo excited when you said purple:)
Great video, love the color you choose. Rick 🤓
I dig the the Spectraflame!! Watching you got me doing model cars and I’ve been wanting to try to see if I can get a silver enough base to get Spectraflame to work on plastic?
Spectra flame all the way! Great video!
Love the colour
not sure when it happened, but Diecast upload days have become my favorite.
Any Spectraflame would be better than white for a Hot Wheels J car!!! I would like it in Aqua myself! Looks even better with the decal set !
Spectra flame orange would look cool. Great job on that purple one though
Orange and green are good Spectra Flame colors.
Looks great Jimmy. Do other ones in different colors. Love the spectra flame colors.
Tossing my hat into the Orange ring. Would love to see a metal flake orange with a deep gloss.
Maybe you could do a black one. That would be cool. I enjoy your videos they are fun to watch.
I did mine in racing green ✌🏿👌🏾👊🏾🖖🏾🇬🇧good as always 🙏🏾
Looks great.. Maybe a cool green color.
This is a great looking paint job. Wonderful to look at.
