Ive been trying so hard to convince the wife to get on board and then we literally pass your Atlas on our way home as we're talking about our options. Such a perfect combo with utility, passenger capacity and overall size. Man I really want one.

    Although the parts will need to be imported
    It is a INSANELY low mileage td27
    and as everyone here in trinidad and tobago like to call it
    it is the iron donkey of engines
    change your oil every once in a while and you good
    that thing going to run forever (of course unless you do some madness) XDD
    also
    the td27 was produced for a very very long time so parts really arent that hard to get
    the majority can be found on ebay
    there are also 24v to 12v step down converters (which it seems there would be one installed already) which in that case you can add a switch to act as the acc wire on the radio or add a 24v relay or you can get a step down converter with the acc wire
    i don't understand how your atlas is 24v because i had one like that and i believe it was 12v, well it was a cabstar (uk model, td25) so that may be why
    i have a 2015 atlas now tho and it is 12v

    • @ButterSuspension

    Heading up to look at JDM other Nissan Atlas firetruck. Out of curiosity, how has your truck been since you bought it? At what RPM does your truck idle at when warm? Can you give me any advice on buying one from JDM Imports?

    • @ButterSuspension
      @ButterSuspension 7 месяцев назад

      Truck has been great overall. No idea on RPM's since it doesn't have a tachometer, lol, but mine also has an idle adjustment knob so it idles wherever input it so it doesn't rattle too much at red lights. And I bought mine private sale; the guy I got it from bought it from JDM but I've only heard good things.

    • @ButterSuspension
      @ButterSuspension 6 месяцев назад

      I wish there was a database for usdm parts compatibility, I'm sure some stuff is just common, but the real issue is most parts sellers start with VIN numbers... so these don't pop up at the dealership. But there's a few places online that you can order from and they do use the Japanese VINs to search.

    What are the measurements of the Truck Bed?
    Do you think this could haul a 2000 pound camper?

    • @ButterSuspension
      @ButterSuspension Год назад +1

      Before it was modified for fire truck use it was 63x82 inside the bed, it's much smaller now. You can find these just as work trucks with a normal bed out there...
      I bet it "could" handle a 2000lb camper but you're not getting up any hills at any rate of speed; this one tops out at 45mph on most true long inclines as is at 5400lbs. You'd probably have to beef up the suspension as well.
