- Apr. 25, 2015 - Here's the REAL Jamaica without a tourist in sight. I walk around a market area of Kingston with my iPhone in my shirt pocket. Authentic sound track. (Turn up the volume for the full effect.) Location is Hope Road near the Halfway Tree Bus Terminal.

I lived there about 8 years ago, but doubt that is anywhere near Hope Road. Good to see the place again though!

Very nice video indeed. As you say it shows the real Jamaica. In fairness I have seen the odd tourist venturing out into such areas - I take my hat off to them as most tend to stay within the confines of their all inclusive hotels/gated complexes or set tours. The locals view them with curiousity but tend to leave them to get on with it. A purely anecdotal observation on my part is that at any particular outdoor area there usually more women then men :)

Don't confuse your own shame of certain parts of the country and projecting your own insecurities onto the vid. This is walking through halfway tree on a normal day and seeing it for what it is like. Ppl working and trying to make a living nothing shameful about that.
They have lots of vids of tourist destination if you want watch that if yuh ashamed. We never asked yuh to come this side anyway.
