very good.i had tried kiwi black shoe polish (thinking the worn leather appears much like a scuff’d up shoe), but this makes more sense and the sealer (like yoy said) is key. As even with the polish thee was residue leftover using the bible later. Can’t wait to try this.
How often should one condition a new leather Bible? I’ve got a calfskin and a church Bible water buffalo leather Bible as well but never have conditioned them any
That really looks good. This is the first time I've watched your channel, I'm looking for a way to fix my old Bible. It's in pretty good shape for it's age. The front opens and you see the binding. It's semi attached to the back. It's a 1966 copyright of The New Analytical Bible and Dictionary of the Bible, Authorized King James Version, John A. Dickson Publishing Co. I laughed at the "New" and 1966. All I've been able to find is replacing the whole cover, I want to keep this cover. On the back cover in smaller caps says GENUINE MOROCCO Do you have any idea what that means? Also do you do this type of repairs? This has been the best Bible I've seen. I've tried to take care of it, but it's getting old and worn. The cover is still soft and pliable, it's just came apart from the text. If you have any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.
Does this process work at all on bonded leather?
Looks great. I’d think that you could skip the dye step on bibles of other colors and really improve the longevity of the Bible.
