  • Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow were an American criminal couple who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depression. The couple were known for their bank robberies, although they preferred to rob small stores or rural funeral homes.
Infamous villans the likes of Machine gun Kelly , Pretty bow Floyd, and Baby face Nelson show how hard , mean and desperate you have to be to earn the title of Public enemy.

Good production. So glad you got the details correct with Bonnie's injury being that of battery acid spilling on her leg instead of burning by fire. So many historians get this detail wrong. Part of her leg was basically eaten by acid almost to the bone.

Completely skipped over Stringtown and Ralph Fults. But it wasn’t bad. For what it is. It’s tacky so I had to try to look at it with a different eye to accept it, and B+C was probably the best or at least one of the top two of Natural Born Outlaws series but I still miss many of the older depression outlaw documentaries between the last 25-30 years up to now.

Many people back then, and some even now, think of John Dillinger, Al Capone... and Clyde Barrow whenever they see a Tommy Gun. But Clyde's favorite weapons was a Remington scatter gun (shot gun) or the BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle), which fired 30. caliber rifle rounds, which will outgun local law enforcement officers every day of the week.

but killers") had killed something like 59 people before them - which made
him a "legend" in the eyes of his fellow officers, 2. The system turned
a car thief into a murderer, 3. With Clydes backround he's only cards
in life were to either live as a poor and die of hunger or this.

cover up their faces and so on. There were no DNA/fingerprint registers,
cellphones (to track), or ways to identify a certain firearm from
fragments or fibre analysis etc. so they could have just play without

    Bonnie
    Blanche

Clyde's weapon of choice..the BAR .. Browning automatic rifle.. which unlike the ,45 ACP Tommy gun.. the b a r fired 30-06 high power rifle bullets.. which could penetrate a car body back then.. most local sheriffs and cops only had a 38 revolver which was not even 38 special back then.. it was 38 S&w .. a very anemic round

Had relation that knew them or were around when they robbed places. They tell a different story?
Clyde hardly ever robbed a place. He was always the driver because he cut off his own toe in prison to get out of work detail. He was very cold just the same
When Bonnie got her first taste of blood, She would kill everyone in the place they robbed & left one person to tell the tale. In the movie with Faye Dunaway, Faye reads the original poem word for word that Bonnie sent to the Chicago sun.
When they killed people apperently killing common people took no interest. It wasn't untill they started killing cops that they became famous.
They were killed not because they needed to catch them. They were killed because the law was sending out a message to everyone.
YOU MESS WITH THE LAW. This is what happens to you.
Had a friend in Dexter Iowa who died but, He was working at the Farmer Grange there at the edge of Dexter Iowa. He had just stepped out in a rainy morning to use the he outhouse in the rear of the bank. When he was coming back in he ran into Buck. Buck took him for a milkman as he was wearing a white shirt and had a cap on. Buck told him to get lost & that they didn't need milk today. As he was walking down the back steps, Bonny had opened up & killed everyone in that bank. She told a ten year old boy, Who was the only one alive,
Tell them the Barrow gang made a withdrawal. Clyde had turned Bonnie into a serial killer.
This is why they had to be stopped. Killed!
