Those flowers are called hydrangeas in case anyone wants to know and you can grow them nearly anywhere.
Make sure to double check it isn't an invasive species where you live though!

They're one of the kinds of flowers where, depending on the PH of your soil, the colors will vary.
@@QueenOfCatsX3fortunately hydrangeas are native to just about anywhere. It just depends on the species. They aren’t considered an invasive plant.
@@butterbeanqueen8148 That's wonderful news! Although I imagine one still has to keep in mind to get the native variety so non-native hydrangea species don't out-compete the native species.
Honestly, when one can it's generally safer to go with native species over foreign. There are so many invasive plants that are all over the place. For example: English Ivy in the USA! It's a very nasty thing out-competing all other sorts of ground cover and it certainly isn't all that great for the trees they attach themselves to. They can cause the bark to crack and add a lot of strain on the branches. It's been the doom of many a tree that hasn't adapted to live alongside it. And yet! It's still commonly sold in garden stores across the country. >:(

When I went to Pamukkale a couple years ago (before covid) there had been so many people visiting without giving the chalk a break, they had to close off most of it because people walking all over it discolored the chalk and made it grey and pink all over. They only allowed a limited amount of people to walk on a fenced off path
When I visited there many years ago it was crowded, filthy, and almost dry because the water had been diverted to fill all the swimming pools in the surrounding hotels. A Turkish tour bus driver grinding out his cigarette butt into the chalk under his shoe rather summed up the whole attitude. Fortunately they seem to have realized what they have there, it's still an amazing place.
I visited it in the mid 1990s. I think they had just started diverting water to hotels so it was still spectacular.
I went about 30 years ago. I was very lucky as there were no crowds and there was planted of water.
I had quite a bad spider bite on my ankle, the skin felt like leather and turned very dark. The mineral muddy sludge sediment where the water meets the mineral rock is supposed to very healing, I took no notice and wasn’t about to spread it over my body, but of course I was walking through the pools. On exiting I noticed the spider bite had all but gone, so yes it’s true it is healing.
I was very lucky to visit when I did before the place was inundated with tourist. It was truly a wonderful experience.
This has also featured in a Greek mythology film Jason & the argonauts (I think) - Lemnos, where only women lived. After Hypsipyle father died she became queen and killed all the men.
In Iceland we got to lay on thick moss similar to that. You could totally sleep on it.

It’s because too many people go there every day. They had to completely close it off at some point (I think 5ish years ago) because all the people walking over it discolored and dirtied the white chalk

I’d never go back to Türkiye. Some of the people were nice. Others not so much. Especially if they find out you’re from the USA.

Just visited Pamukale last December…yeah the scenery there, was not like what they showed on postcards. Perhaps too many people visited throughout the years and has ruined its beauty😕
I swam in Pamukkale close to 15 years ago. It was incredibly beautiful, and due to its height the view you get from the basins are astonishing. The 7-hour bus ride there was even worse than it sounds. When you arrive there, it’s worth the trip though. There are ancient ruins close to the basins too, so you can enjoy some strolling through marvelous ancient Turkish ruins while you’re at it.

Pamukkale is amazing! I swam there and the water is so warm and there are ancient ruins close, it’s so cool! It wasn’t crowded at all but it was during the winter.

Guys language doesn’t work like this.
A language calls a country a name because it’s either easy to pronounce or there was a reason to call that country something like a historical connection. So in your language you may call it Türkiye, but in English it’s turkey because that is how it was named. In my language you call it Turkije. Germany is called Allemagne by France although they call themselves Deutschland. It doesn’t work out if every language calls every city and country the way the inhabitants call them

If you like those clear pods attached to the cliffs, and if you're in the US, there is a lookout over the Grand Canyon that extends over the edge and has clear glass (or plexiglass) floors so you can look straight down.

I went to the pod in Peru, had dinner but didn’t sleep in it. I would recommend, it’s not that bad, it’s like climbing a ladder.
I’ve been to the Turkey one, in the 1990’s and it was amazing. The mountain pods - where is the toilet? And absolutely not.
