There are still bullet holes in the union station to this day. Just a few less. An apprentice from a restoration company filled at least 2 up before the boss stopped him.

If Floyd had robbed banks for 1 year then took that money and left America and went stright he coukd have lived a great life.
He did this for the thrill and fame not the money .
He knew he was going to end up dead yet still went forward.
This is what baffles me about these gangster types of this era.

Hi there you aren't the only one when I was a kid I'd watch every show and movie about the gangsters
Mama had the song about Bonnie and Clyde.
      I'd cry every time
      Lester flat and Earl Scrugs
      Great song.

It's amazing how much of my history I thought I knew was in fact wrong. Pretty Boy Floyd died in my home state of Ohio. LOL, I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio; where we referred to it as "Little Chicago."
Man, do I feel old! 😹😹😹

He was to not put a finer point on it, he went out of his way to ruin any career opportunities Purvis could have just because Purvis got the fame for taking down Dillinger and not him.

That's putting it rather kind. He was a real piece of work who covered a lot of stuff up including his gay lover. Sadly, I know too much about this one. My family always said he was on the take.

Floyd was shot right outside East Liverpool, Ohio. His body was taken to Sturgis Funeral Home in downtown East Liverpool and put on view for the public. My great grandmother went to view his body. She always told us that he was the most handsome man she’d ever seen. To this day there is a stone and historical plaque along side the road where he was shot.

These are so well done! Better than Hollywood. I knew a guy a long time ago whose first ex-wife was a direct descendant of Dillinger and his second ex-wife was a direct descendant of Pretty Boy Floyd. The guy was from Louisiana and a big commie.

The 1920s were the most exciting by far. The 1930s were the most hopeless. The 1940s were the most memorable in my opinion. Some would say the 1960s.

When I heard the FBI agent possible shot to death 3 people with the repeated fire shotgun( fooling with it ) , it is stunning.
The fact is when you commit any type of crime , you are putting your life in danger. Pretty boy put his life in danger when he robbed banks and was a wanted fugitive. Maybe he did not participate in the Union Station massacre but his image made him a high suspect.
