[Chiba City] A major project is underway! This road will be amazing when it is completed

It would be awesome if it opens at the same time as the old Sotobo Toll Road.

The construction of the Shiota-machi Konda Line connection will begin in earnest in 2019! That's what it said in the PDF.
[Project Objectives]
This route is a city planning road with a total length of 8,360m, and about 6km from Chiba Tonan Danchi to National Route 16 is already in service, and it is used as a highly convenient road for transportation from the Tonan Danchi area.
By developing the undeveloped section of this project from National Route 16 to National Route 357, we aim to strengthen access between the Tonan Danchi area and the waterfront, as well as connect the Soga Special District and the Keiyo Road Soga Interchange, and strengthen the development of the Soga subcenter.
In addition, the construction of this project section, which constitutes part of the Chiba Naka Ring Road, a regional high-standard road designed to facilitate traffic within the city, will roughly complete the Chiba Naka Ring Road, and the emergency transportation roads Keiyo Road, National Route 16, and National Route 357 will connect in Shiota Town, ensuring road redundancy and substitutability.

Three years ago, in 2021, Chiba City unveiled its business plan for the urban planning road Shiotamachi Kondamachi Line (Shiotamachi area).
The plan is to build a new urban planning road connecting National Highway 16 and National Highway 357 from east to west, with a length of 780m.
The construction cost is estimated at about 7 billion yen.
The plan is to start construction this year and aim for completion in 2029.

The city's road department explained this at the public works reevaluation subcommittee of the Chiba City New Basic Plan Council.
This project was reevaluated because five years have passed since the reevaluation in 2016.
The Shiotacho area is planned to connect National Highway 16 and National Highway 357, with a length of 780m.
The road will be 32 to 70m wide, with four lanes on the main line and two on the side road.
In 2019, the grade separation structure with the JR Uchibo Line will be changed from an underground passage to a bridge structure.
The total project cost is expected to be 10.74 billion yen, with construction costs estimated at 7.004 billion yen.
As of the end of 2020, the progress rate was 25.2% based on project costs and 79.9% based on land, with construction not yet begun.
In light of the severe financial situation, the project has been prolonged due to the time it took to coordinate with local residents and related organizations and negotiate land in order to change the road structure to reduce costs.
Looking at this, it looks like the plan was drawn up around 15 years ago lol
I guess the land has finally been secured and the plan can be carried out.

地元の道路状況の情報ありがとうございます☺内房線沿いの立ち退き予定とおっしゃっていたアパート、Googleマップを見ると元の長さの半分になっているので、立ち退いたのではなくいったん居住者を退去させて減築して再度賃貸するのかも。あと最後に立ち寄った一番357号近くの場所は、新しいアパートがたくさん建っている（Googleだと更地）なので、立ち退き壊したアパートの代わりにここに新築したアパートなのかもしれませんね。

17:14　辺りから、自身が通勤でよく使っている道になります。
房総往還沿いの家が徐々に消えていくので「何かな？」と思っていましたが、
こういう事か・・・と、思い至ったのは３年位前でしたか。
橋脚が作業区域を区切る鉄板壁の上に見えてきてようやく、「あ、高架で内房線越えるのか」と、認識。
最終的に蘇我陸橋南交差点への接続となる訳ですが、この開通が蘇我陸橋の慢性的な渋滞を解消するのか、
はたまた通行車両の集中に拍車を掛けて、更に渋滞が重篤化するのか？
自分の通勤所要時間に大きく影響するので、大変気になるところです。

と思ってたんですが、
25:27　の事業概要図を見たら、アレ？アウトっぽくないか？・・・と。
千葉市教育委員会の説明板が設置してあったりするので、何かしらの保存対象では無いのだろうか？
18:44　のお宅との移転交渉が滞る事無く早期円満に解決する事を願わずにいられませんね。
三里塚闘争のような泥沼の果ての供用は、後味悪いですから。
